2K is still sim. Madden hasn't been a sim game in over a decade. I haven't purchased a Madden title since Madden 2008. It's a fundamentally broken game. From the offensive lineman on down.

If Madden ain't Sim then 2k isn't either. 2k is just as broken from the rebounding, to the shot contests, to the abused moves and missing wide open layups and everywhere else. 2k ain't no better

When these guys go exclusive the games become shyt.
NBA 2k game out the gates and destroyed NBA LIve. Hell there was NBA Inside Track from Microsoft and others. NBA 2k said fukk all that we will progress gameplay and dominated. They got exclusive and now they haven't updated the game since 2012. Same shytty game, with broken gameplay except now they have added microtransactions that make it even worse. SMH.
Madden was made by different developers but when they first came out they had to fukking compete, they had to seperate themselves from tecmo bowl, NFL QB Club, Joe Montana football and etc. They did they became the standard, when NFL 2k cut price and ate that marketshare they bought exclusive rights and stopped trying to fix their game. Why should they, idiots will go out and buy it year affter year with recycled assets and broken gameplay. They also kill idiots with microtransactions.
Lack of competition makes shyt product.
Thats why MLB games are the only good games alive as they have forced competition because of Sony's The Show.
EA Fifa used to have to improve because Pro Evo Soccer kept their foot on their neck, but PES died and now FIFA prints money and doesn't change.

Any game with an nfl license is going to do numbers at least in the US because the selling point of an nfl football game is the nfl not the game studio.
If EA released a non madden football game with no nfl license that shyt would brick harder than james harden in game 7
