Yes it does if his friend doesn't have the internet. If his friend does have the internet, they'll be playing off the cloud (latency) compared to offline. Secondly, if Stat lent his friend the game to play under his friends account (again, his friend would have be on his xbox live disc for 30 days) then his friend can play the game under his own account. But you can't get it back at this point.

No you don't play the games from the cloud you download them. And the 30 day/one time requirment is for gifting games not sharing.

I know your a fanboy, but you shouldn't be spreading misinformation. Look how many people on this site don't have a clue how things will work. That comes from fanboys such as yourself.

That's even worse then Meach. Instead of picking up and play, you gotta wait for the game to download from the cloud fam.

And if he is over at his friend's house, taking the disc over doesn't matter if he doesn't have internet. Once they play for an hour, the offline check kicks in!!!!

Like I said all EA has to do is opt out. They already asked Ubisoft who said they agree with used games would they allow their titles to be sold second hand and guess what the answer was.

So basically EA took MS Money and letting them get the PR hammer. :laff:

That's what MS gets for coming up with that DRM shyt and taking it to the publishers . At least they got some exclusives out of their bytchassedness.

I think M$ would have prefered to go to a strictly digital download system. but that would have eliminated used games altogether, and clearly retailers and consumers weren't ready for that

in many ways, I think gamers have held themselves back by clinging onto this old crap. people want to have their cake and eat it: they want 2013 games, but they expect the simplicity of a NES

:what:

why can't we have what we want & not just what they give us. You sound like Job's wife

oh & EA I'm not buying it. You knew very well what the deal was :stopitslime:

Games can be played during the install. You will have to wait a minute to get started, then you will be able to play while its still installing. Or you could share the game with your friend from home and he can start downloading it before you even come over.

And you keep trying to promote this idea that people don't have the Internet, but there is a very small number of people with the money/desire to play high end video games that don't have the Internet. And judging from E3 the totally offline game will soon be a thing of the past.

Here's the thing that you gotta realize though....

Which one sounds less convoluted and simple? People like simple.

exactly, how you think they got the Dead Rising and Titanfall games exclusive (on console...for now... :shaq: ). Even DLC. They damn well knew about it since MS approached them with the idea. Peter Moore (former 360 President) is now running EA. He aint fooling nobody. I wouldn't be mad at him though for taking MS cash and perks, but to throw them nikkaz under the bus was :scusthov:

No fukks given.

Actually remote sharing sounds the simplest of all the options

@ The bolded:

Which is why they love iPads and steam. Once people see their console behaving intelligently and providing instant gratification like an iphone, then all of this other stuff will go away.

All they have to do is put a kiosk in the middle of the mall, and have people come up and interact with it, and watch others recover their entire gaming career and switch between games/apps/TV on the fly. People will start to understand benefits and the online/drm stuff will go away. Regardless of how you feel about kinect, if it works how they say it does, people will be amazed the first time the experience it.

When it's working yes...but limiting shyt to having to be online is a gamekiller. to not be able to play your console and games that you bought because the internet is out is stupid. not even single player games? Power is back on quicker than the internet and to basically say fukk anyone who doesn't have the internet if you buy an Xbox One is horrible. Just because it doesn't affect you doesn't mean that it's still not shytty. If Xbox Live goes down/out, no one will be able to play their games at ALL. You think that shyt is cool?

Lol EA not trynna get touched by the PR forest fire MS has created.

Now let's piece bits of info together and discuss some things:

-----

How Games Licensing Works on Xbox One

Microsoft leaves game resale up to the publisher and this PUBLISHER isn't blocking used game support at this time, if ever. The whole argument that Microsoft was an evil company because it's putting the consumers into the hands of evil money hungry publishers was apparently more fake outrage from fanboys waiting on M$ downfall. Devs/publishers complained about the used game scene digging in their pockets this entire gen. All Microsoft has done is tell them "If you feelin froggy, then leap." And now look, ain't shyt happen.

The whole "Sony has to do it too" from xbots was in reference to this publisher policy. If EA blocked used games on X1 you better believe PS4 was feelin it too, regardless of no console check-ins.

As it stands now, we can trade in and sell used games at retailers. Craigslist/ebay/street-corner hustles are in the bushes with what we know. Giving away games for free requires a 30-day friendship, after that you'll have to trade/sell to a retailer. We're still waiting for the official word on buying used games. Models for rentals are being "explored."

Hence the 24hr policy so X1 can throw the discs in the bushes. This is a trade off I do not mind. I find more value in not needing to even know where my disc is in order to play, switch, and share my games, than requiring the disc in-tray for the aforementioned and having the ability to play offline >24hrs during a blue moon.

If you want a Xbox 1 that's your perogative but stuff you just discussed is complicated as hell. And simply because you don't want to take care of take disks :what:

And this is what Meach and Spliff don't get. They only thinking of their situations and tech expertise. Lots of mufukkaz like simple, i.e. take a disc over to a friends house and play with no restrictions or needing online authetication, etc.

You know...THE WAY shyt IS NOW!!!!!!!!

Actually with smartphones you are more likely to have an Internet connection than power in the case of an emergency.

And I do look forward to them adressing the concerns about XBL going down. I would assume that it's easy to put a failsafe in the system that would unlock play for all X1 indefinitely if the servers go offline or get shut off. That is a legitimate concern and one they should address before November.
