It's "glorified" because it's undoubtably the single most important position in football to those that have more than two functioning brain-cells.
:mjlol: you want to do insults, fine
Ive forgotten more football than youve ever known.
I watch condensed games and film for fun.
Out of TWENTY Super Bowls, you have FOUR times where a team didn't have a "good" to "great" QB. Take your insane logic or lack thereof and keep it moving.:camby:.

oh yes peyton manning last year was a good or great qb :laff: :laff: :laff:
Im sure peytons playoff run where he threw more picks than tds was a great run too ?
big bens performance in the 2006 superbowl was 'good or great' right ? literally a bottom tier qb couldve performed better in that game

but let me spell it out for you. majority of qbs who arent hall of famers/elite or utter bums, are pretty interchangeable. there are more and more such qbs in todays game. you got dudes like fitzpatrick, kirk cousins, alex smith and josh mccown, hoyer putting up decent/above average years. unless you brady/arod at this point (brees over the hill, peyton was trash last year and now hes gone), there is no difference between this 'good' qb in flacco ryan or stafford and cheap guys. you literally could pick up rg3 for nothing and if hes healthy enough he'll be decent enough for a team with a good defense.

gap in qbs was far bigger 20 years ago when there were elite qbs and everybody else. even though, back then defenses ruled even more than they do now.

qbs are as replaceable as any other position, really. get a guy who is considered a weak qb on a team with good defense, he'll look decent (see guys like fez, brad johnson). and if last year tells us anything is that a great D can win even with a straight up shytty qb

you're not going to win this fight. walk away from it before you can gather your teeth. Ive fought it a fight a million times. you just another body breh.

I just don't understand. I get it if you make this deal for a generational QB or even elite-level guy like a Luck or even Winston...but Wentz? What God's name is going on here? Even Goff is highly overrated.
I wont even do it for those guys
luck had an extremely high floor and was a generational talent, but he hasnt exactly set the world on fire in the NFL. one great year and others full of turnovers. could get cousins to do similar shyt drafting him much later :manny: it aint worth it.

Howie is showing he still doesn't know what he is doing. Not sold on this. They really think they are going to have another Donovan at #2, SMH. These prospects are just that, Prospects. High Draft picks don't garentee anything. Donovan was lighting in a bottle which is why we haven't been able to replace him in 6 years or duplicate the success we had with him at QB. And we still haven't won a playoff game since he left.

You can't possibly be this stupid? Just because they have a poor game does not make them a poor QB. The "I watch game film" line is the biggest surrender line people use.:mjlol:.

And, yes, I meant to include Manning, so make it five out of twenty Super Bowls. Since you might have trouble doing the math on that, that means 75% of Super Bowl winning QB's in the past twenty years did not meet your absurd criteria.

I hate the Jets, but @Trip has just been body bagging you in this thread.:russ:.

You're right, but I at least understand the hype. If Luck didn't have the hype, how would he be viewed today? While he had some injuries, he had a terrible season on a team that was a SB favorite. No one is even talking about his fall off.

Bradford isn't some bum off the street, he's good enough with the right pieces around him to make you a legit contender. This is a gamble, pure and simple, and it's just not a smart one. The Eagles are hitting on 18 and are "confident" that there's a 3 coming up. It's absolutely asinine to bet the house on a hand like that.

only ? ONLY ? :why: for moving up 6 spots ? :why:
We had two third round picks so nothing lost there

And it's likely we'll trade Chase Daniel or Bradford and recoup another pick

The quarterbacks coming up over the next few years aren't that great and your ability to be in position again is very low

It is very unlikely that you'll hit the lottery and get a Russel Wilson in the 3rd round or a Tom Brady in the 6th

Most top QBs are taken in the first round with high picks

If you look at what the Redskins gave up this is nothing like that and if you look at these players the Rams got back it amounted to nothing

Now look at our draft picks over the last 3-4 years
And our #1 picks over that time

If this QB is the Franchise guy we hope he is then trading a couple guys for him is well worth the price

For example.. What would you have to give up to get Ben Rapistburger, Flacco, or one of these guys

It's would be alot more than that.

Look at the age of the QBs in our division..
Romo, Eli these guys won't be around much longer
If we can reset now ..we'll be ready to dominate when they are truly rebuilding the same way it was when we got Donovan

Scared money don't make money

And here's where you bought into the bullshyt. Go back a year and no one was saying Goff or Wentz are number 1 or 2 overall picks. This year is shyt when it comes to QB and they would have said the same thing last year and it's been that way.
So you can't big up this year's qb class now and shyt on next year's when this year's was considered to be in the place of next year's last year.
We don't have a choice, nikka. We gotta take what we can get. You act like the next Cam Newton is on the horizon. :stopitslime: So basically you believe they should have hedged their bets with a POTENTIAL, unknown QB in the 2017 or 2018 Draft instead of doing it now? That makes zero sense. Like I said before, we don't even know what SCHEMES Pederson will run yet. If he's taking Wentz, the only thing we can guess is that he favors some form of mobility.

But we'll see next year, and we'll see how long Bradford lasts THIS season.

Don't drive off a bridge cause traffic backed up
You have a choice and yall fukked it up. You didn't have to trade picks to get whoever it is you want you had the 8th pick and nobody in front of you needed a qb.
You're taking whoever the Rams don't want either way it goes.
I'd rather have 2 1st round picks in 2 years instead of one. Especially since you guys have holes to fill from what I've read. Tool the team and get your qb when you can. Look how the Brees, Rogers, Mannings, Bradys do when they have trash around them. They won their one ring but the teams around them were great. Look what happened to them as soon as the teams around them fell off. Build the team. Even Alex Smith leads teams to the playoffs cause it's stacked everywhere else.

This is all assuming whoever you draft pans out

You are making it seem like it's a foregone conclusion Wentz or Goff are gonna be franchise qbs
