The idea that because he's half black, and Canadian, what is more important is how despite him being from Canada, he is a beyond prominent and near omnipresent force in not just hip hop, but in American and international.
Listening to Drake at this SECOND, but it's valid criticism. My guess is Drake isn't very political, or understanding of those kind of class and race issues. It's not where and how he was raised. He's not really all that educated or intellectual, my other guess is that he plays pretty close to the vest because larger backers like UMG don't really want their stars running wild about police killings and controversial issues.
but, partly, is has to be him. because, none of that is really even controversial anymore. It's not like if he said something about Trump he would lose fans. But, look at the Bud Light incident.
