I don't recall him ever saying that. He didn't even get injured from that, it was a pinched nerve in his neck that slowed him down at the end of his career

When he got to Houston he had a hip injury which he alluded to it being caused by the Brady slide..

Eventually he was cut by the Texans, picked up by the Jets(only bc of the Rex Ryan connection) and retired. due to poor play because of his hip injury..

Not because the pinched nerve he suffered from years and years prior..

But his neck injury definitely affected his play even before that hip injury. He used to rock nikkas, and then in his last couple of years he couldn't tackle for nothing, he would just lunge at people or try to strip them while running next to them

the way he planted his leg caused issues to it. I missed a step on the way up a curb into a pizzeria last month and my hip bothered me more for the afternoon than my knee did. Don't you look at me like i'm either. my dad ripped up his knee on the golf course so shyt can happen anywhere
