The excuse I hear to the “why aren’t there more Black backup QBs” question is usually that teams don’t wanna have to switch up their offense for a mobile QB if the starter goes down. EJ seems like an ideal backup.

Peterman is prolly the worst QB in the NFL and should be in the arena league but its unfair to lump Darnold with him...cracker is a rookie....in 2-3 years.....he maybe in that convo..time will tell

Peterman is a disgrace. shyt was funny last year with the 5 interceptions in a half but can you imagine if that was a black QB that did the same thing? He wouldn't have gotten a second chance and chased out of the building/league. Yet they let this cat play let alone start.

Darnold isnt playing as badly as Peterman was last year when he played...the jury is out on Darnold
Look EJ was a bad QB and a bust but the coaching he got was always completely garbage and he never had any kind of a shot when the Bills thought going into the season with Kevin Kolb who was one head injury away from his brain turning into soup and Jeff fukking Tuel beside him doomed him to failure from jump.
I don't blame him (or Losman before him) for ending up getting shell shocked and never developing. He was good as a rookie, he just never got the coaching to take that next step. Then Whaley hired Rex and Rex wanted nothing to do with him and basically just said "fukk that nikka" and that was that.

I refuse to listen to any justifiable reason that Matt Barkley, who was shyt and overhyped in COLLEGE and has done absolutely nothing but suck complete ass as a pro, has lasted longer in the league and gotten more chances in this league than a guy like EJ.
It serves the NFL right that they have no good back-up QB's anymore since they decide that the black QB's can't ever be back-ups because they have to "change the offense" like you can't run a traditional NFL offense with a dude that can run.

Damn, I didn't even know EJ was out of the league. It's funny though. EJ was a 1st round pick with good College resume and didn't get much of a chance. This Petterman dude, I have never seen such a bad QB keep getting chance after chance after chance. He wasn't a top prospect so I don't understand why they keep trotting him out there. Cut that fool!

EJ Manuel never got a full season to start in the NFL. Hell looking at his stats... It's not until he's been basically kicked around the league and his body took a tremendous beating (thanks to the Bills awful OL he got hurt a TON in his last year here) that they're even BAD.
What first round QB doesn't get a full NFL season to play unless they just are coked out of their minds? fukking Brandon Wheedon got a full 16 games.
