@Rekkapryde I remember being in the 6th or 7th grade and my parents finding out one of my friends was the son of a known drug dealer. They told me like this… “we can’t stop you from being friends with him because we’re not around all the time to stop you, but we know what he does… you know what he does… you think if he gets arrested and you’re with him, they’re not gonna take YOU to jail too?”
That’s when good parenting and the solid foundation they laid, had me deciding for myself that’s not the life I want to live. They didn’t have to tell me what to do, they just presented my options and the consequences if I decided to continue down that path. Breh turned out to be a solid basketball player in high school and was dunking on dudes back at a time in the 90s when that was some pro shyt. But when I came home from college and went to the Mardi Gras parade in my neighborhood, there he was fresh out of jail on the other side of the street. I just gave him a head nod and kept it moving.

I know every generation is going to say the next generations kids are worse than the prior, but I think it’s clear that kids today are MUCH worse at a young age than generations prior. They fear absolutely nothing, and the way they speak to people is mind-boggling.
