Nah no way...he has two rings but thats about it. I mean heck...if he gets in..I guess they should let Desmond Howard get in there too.

Eli's stats are horrible. I've probably watched him play every game since he came on...and he hasn't improved one iota. ONCE in a great moon he makes a clutch play, but if a QB with his numbers and his caliber of play gets a bust in Canton...the NFL will officially have lost all credibility.

If anything, he may be one of those forgotten cats that get in like 50 years later out of some sort of respect. But take a look at the NFL HOF list for EVERY YEAR...now the Bolded names are the people who were elected in....notice that only 2 QBs have been elected in 10 years...the only QB's to get in 16 years are Joe Montana, Jim Kelly, John Elway, Steve Young, Dan Marino, Warren Moon, Troy AIkman, Ken Stabler and Brett Farve. That's 9 QB's in 16 years.

If you go back to 1996...only 9 QB's have been selected in 20 years
.

If you go back 26 years ( starting in 1990)....that's 11 in 26 years (add Dan Fouts 93' and Bob Griese 90' to the list)

Think about it...that's 9 in 20 years or 11 in 26 years.

At what point does anyone see Eli getting into that kind of competition?

And the names on that list of 9 are some heavy hitters....not to mention the others who will definitely get on there ( P. Manning, Rogers, Brees, Brady, Rothelesburger, R. Wilson...and whatever future QBs who will rank in the top 5 that come after them.

And let's keep it 100....If Carson Palmer or Phillip Rivers gets a SB...they'll step ahead of him too...

Even Kurt Warner is struggling to get in...and he has 2 NFL MVP's, 4 Pro Bowls, One SB/SBMVP and other accolades.

Phil Simms aint even in there and he has 2 SB rings/1 SBMVP and a League MVP trophy to his name.

Jim Plunkett has 2 SB rings/1 SBMVP and a League MVP and he aint in either....

Eli has 2 SB/2 SBMVPs, 4 Pro Bowl appearances (mind you...2 of those PB appearances were because Tony Romo should have been chosen ahead of Eli for that 3rd spot on each of those years, so he only has 2...and even those 2 are extremely suspect.)

He has no League MVPs, he's never lead the league in anything positive.

No Rookie of the Year,

No First-Team ALL PRO,

No Second Team ALL PRO,

No NFL Come Back Player of the Year...

nothin lol.

He has 2 SB rings carried by the Giants Defense with a couple of Hail Mary's in clutch situations. In both Superbowl appearances, the Giants were the 5th and 4th playoff seeds going in...never a top 2 team.

And I'm not shytting on Eli just cause...I'm just puttin it all in perspective as a fan of the sport.

He has nothing else. Never a top 5 QB rating and his other stats are horrid.

The only other thing that he gets credit for is that he has started every game since his birth.

Eli has far too many NFL QB's ahead of him...LET ALONE players from other positions...I see him never getting in. He'll get nominated once or twice maybe...but actually elected in? :jbhmm:

If he ever does...we'll all probably be long and dead gone to even know it.

A good amount of people who don't watch the Giants will never appreciate Eli. And when he's had guys who can make plays, he's been really good. I'm actually pretty surprised he gets as much hate as he does.

The problem is when he's really bad. And it can be really bad at times. But it balances out when he's being good to great Eli.

Worst good QB
Best bad QB

I'd take him over his brother in the clutch though

Meh.

He has 2 of the best throws in Super Bowl history.
It's kinda hard to keep a quarterback who wins 2 Super Bowls out of the Hall.

I don't think he's that great. But he probably gets in.

What's crazy is that from the last 20 years, you'll see quite a few QB's get in:

Peyton Manning
Tom Brady
Ben Roethlisberger
Eli Manning
Drew Brees
Aaron Rodgers

And by the way, Kurt Warner belongs in the Hall too.

Edit - Cam Newton might get there too

:mjlol: this whole post is compete shyt. I should have stopped reading at the Desmond Howard reference smh :upsetfavre:

Everything you said was opinion and made up shyt...."carried by a defense" and "a couple of hail mary situations" is another sign I should have stopped reading :francis:

NOW you want to put Jim Plunkett and Phil Simms in if Eli gets in???

Eli = over 44k yards passing and 294 TDs (will be over 300 by week 3)
Plunkett = 25k yards passing and more INTs than TDs (198 to 164)
Simms = 33k yards passing and 199 TDs (did not play the entire postseason in the SB 25 run)

If you don't like Eli, just say it but don't throw shyt against a wall and hope it sticks, thinking nobody gonna notice the fukkery you spewing :manny:

And BTW - Kurt Warner should be in bc of his dominant run but longevity is against him. Id vote him in though

This is horrible analysis :yeshrug:..I couldn't even get through the first syllable. You just about ignored any stat that supports any QB that had gotten in the HOF.

He has absolutely no accolades compared to ANY QB who has gotten in in the last 40 years. Phil Simms has 2 SBs and 1 MVP and he's been retired for 23 years and he still aint in lol.

Jim Plunkett has 2 SBs and 1 league MVP.

Kurt Warner has 2 league MVPS plus a SB and other league titles. And he didn't make it yet either.

The math and common sense go against you. He is NOT getting in lol. He doesn't have ONE league MVP trophy. Not one passer rating, TD passing or yards leader season title. He's never been TOP 5 in passer rating in ANY season of his career.

9 QBs have entered the HOF in 16 years. 11 in 26 years. He's got QBs and players in the league NOW who will be elected in before he will. LOL

These are FACTS lol. Try to float over them if you want.

He'll get in the Giants "ring of honor" :russ:...:umad:

I'll make it real simple for you

Look up his current stats

Then factor in Eli probably has about at minimum 3 more years left and a league that's as pass happy as it's ever been.

You can make a debate for him going to the HOF with his current numbers right now as we speak

The list of QBs that's been elgible for the Hall Eli numbers will easily swamp, some his numbers have already..

I'm going to let you continue to show your ass otherwise, but just so you can stop repeating at least it: neither Simms nor Plunkett ever won a league MVP and Simms, specifically, wasn't even a factor in his second ring (Jeff Hostetler QBed that team through its playoff run).
