Whatever your point is it still doesn't make your trash comparison to Dilfer fly or change what he actually accomplished or ended up being handed (surrounding cast, system, etc).

No matter what your Giants zeal makes you feel like, Eli is a Trent Dilfer upgrade.

We wouldn't be talkin' about him if it wasn't for a couple good throws in the clutch and the play of his defense, just like Trent.

Eli is 35 years old, and people still see him as a little nicca.

Re read the previous post.

Ignore reality...he ain't gettin in. And his accumulation of stats is based in longevity--not production

he has no league leading season titles in any of those categories and he's 36th all time passer rating. He played every game since he came into the league in the last 12 years

he has 2 SBs where in both seasons they were the last seed carried by the D and he even led in interceptions during those years.

For Eli to get in he would have DEFY any QB who has gotten in since 1970
yeah he does....Game Winning drives in 2007 and 2011, both SB championship seasons

The SB MVP is not the "ultimate title" lol. Plenty of players have ONE and will never sniff the HOF because of their career stats.

2 QBs have SB titles with an SB MVP AND League MVP plus they have other league titles to go with it and they still ain't in lol.

Eli is literally riding on 2 SBs as the underdog seed carried by his D with nothing else to add. Never a league leader in anything other than INTs and never statistically even a top 5 in any season that he's played in.

Any list he makes is simply based on the fact that he hasn't missed a game.

The people who nominate and vote in the HOF are not "fans" like the Giants stans...they will pour over every detail of his career

Lol it ain't happening
wtf? he was 2nd in TD last season :what:

He has been top 5 in Yards and TDs at least 3 times in each just off the top of my head without lookin it up :what:

He didn't lead the league in INTs (or INT %), they won their division, and they had the 27th ranked defense in 2011.

I'll let you keep on again though.

My Giants zeal makes me feel like having a brain capable of reason and a basic understanding of reality.

I don't know whether Eli is going to make the Hall or not. I personally think he should, but I recognize there's a significant chance the voters will feel otherwise.

I'd pretty much guarantee you, however, that none of those guys voting -- including the ones who'd vote against him -- are going to basically triple down on a nonsense claim that he's Trent Dilfer redux when called on it like you are though.

Not in my opinion. Dude disappears for whole seasons, but had 2 winning SB perfomances against the GOAT. Way too inconsistent for me. Lots of guys have off-and-on careers and don't get in.

Who are the 2 QBs?

And I'm still waiting on the receipts of the 10 QBs ahead of him waiting to get in..
Jim Plunkett:
NFL Highlites:
Phil SImms:

Joe Thiesman:

Kurt Warner:
Add:

Arron Rogers

Drew Brees

Tom Brady:

Need we say more? :smugdraper:

Peyton Manning? Really? :sas2:

Ben Rothlesburger

Russel Wilson

Cam Newton

Eli Manning accomplishments:

:jbhmm:

Take note of Eli Manning:
NO Rookie of the Year Award
Not ONE NFL MVP
Not ONE NFC MVP POY
NOT ONE Offensive POY
NOT ONE Player Passer Rating Leader (not even top 5)
NOT ONE Passing Yards Leader
NOT ONE COmpletion PercentageLeader (Not even top 10)
NOT ONE First Team ALL Pro
NOT ONE Second Team All Pro

*2 SBs/ 2SB MVPs on bottom seeded teams carried by the Defense

In what? 12 seasons without missing a game?:heh:

11 QBs selected in 26 years which contain atleast 1 SB and one season of outstanding/standout performance

He's a lock for the Giants "Ring of Honor" tho

His "accumulation, longevity stats" will be surpassed by:

Aaron Rogers, Ben Rothlesburger and Carson Palmer...that's not including Russel Wilson, Cam Newton and any other All-Pro player that comes after him.

Your copy/paste skills suck.

Again, Phil Simms didn't win a league MVP; LT (the defensive GOAT) was MVP in 1986. And if you're going to cite things like "AFC Champion", then Eli's been "NFC Champion" (x2).

And why, logically, would Carson Palmer or Ben be expected to surpass him in counting stats when Palmer is older/less durable and Ben is less durable?

Sure you do - because he is, like I said in my first post in here.

I'd pretty much guarantee you, however, that none of those guys voting -- including the ones who'd vote against him -- are going to basically triple down on a nonsense claim that he's Trent Dilfer redux when called on it like you are though.

Because you don't agree doesn't make it not so.
