I'm don't really care what has to go. It's just funny seing all these playstation dudes making all these calls of what M$ should do when the entire Sony brand is in danger.

They just released their financial stuff last week that said they are loosing money accross the board and the ps3 is a big reason for that, but we didn't see any threads on it. I wonder why

Nothing is stopping them from spinning off Xbox into it's own brand and company though.

The brand is definitely something they can sell or sit on really.

"XBOX" is now a part of Windows 8 and Windows Phone as the "Gaming" section of their operating systems

I was surprised to read that article Rekka just posted yesterday claiming that Microsoft is losing around $2 billion a year on Xbox, Skype and Windows Phone.

But if that is the case, which I'm not sure because everyone is an analyst these days, it wouldn't make sense to sell off Xbox and shut down Bing. Even if Xbox division is losing money it can and is used to get into the set top box/cable media business. And Bing is an obvious chess piece in their war on Google so I doubt that is going anywhere.

These anonymous sources are obviously just trying to shyt on Elop. You don't just stroll into the position of CEO there have to be some dead bodies along the way.

Read the articles and look at the data, this isn't new shyt. The board at MS doesn't really care for Xbox like that. They want to invest more in their cloud strategy, windows and office licenses, and services.

Bing, sharepoint, office 365, xbox, and all that other shyt doesn't bring in the revenue they want. Before Ballmer announced his retirement there were grumblings that the board members with lots of shares and influence wanted him to get rid of the divisions that aren't making money.

I work with many cloud and IT solution providers that are preferred vendors for microsoft, and they are paying them a shyt load of money, and rightfully so. Microsoft should be THE place to go to for the evergrowing storage solution needs. The money immeasurable.

exactly, and Elop knows this. Whoever the next CEO is will push harder for increased cloud licenses and hosting since they have seen the rise every year in their server and tools division.
