Sure it is. The console market cannot possibly be sustained for much longer with how much technology has changed since 2007.

The fact of the matter is that closed systems that have a shelf-life of 7-8 years are passed 2-3x now. Its going to get to a point in where cellphones are probably going to be more powerful than the PS4 by 2020.

also with the way Microsoft designs their software, they almost force you into buying their full suite of products.


Your Company OS runs on windows ? Buy Windows servers to manage them
. O you want emailing too? Buy Microsoft exchange becaue it works the best with both. and so on. And since most company do not like downtime and really dont like using a bunch of different vendors for everything they do it.

Thats why they make so much in that divison. If Microsoft made their own TV's they would be tellling you the xbox bas better graphics with them. lol

Even with consoles, if it wasn't for Sony opening the door for them with a hard to develop console and premium price, would the 360 have been AS successful?

that's neither here nor there at this point, but if it does end up being that the PS4 is the clear goto console this gen, they'll rationale to pull the plug on the xbox console hardware will be even easier to do in their minds.
