Breh you can talk about that shyt in another thread. This is the same thing I have been telling you cats before...this is a thread about Microsoft and you are continuously putting sony in the conversation for no damn reason.
Aww shutup nikka. Plenty of people came in this thread and mentioned Sony.

Hell the only reason this thread exists is due to the "console wars".

It's been well known the XBox division was a money pit but they do a lot of good stuff I don't see them being evaporated within the next 10 years.

I think the brand will always be around, just spread across different platforms such as Windows and Windows Phone. The brand is too big to just evaporate like that...I wonder how that xbox section on the phones and windows 8 are doing. I should do some research on that.

The console market is doomed IMO and it would be smart on Elop's part to dip out of it after the xbox one's run.

Wait how they fukk are they losing money on xbox? Didn't they just sell 80 million units. What are they spending money on? They sell 360 and Xbone units at a profit.

might have to do with the way they do business. They like to buy third party and spend money on stuff like the nfl stuff then to have their own studios do the leg work. Plus factor In that RROD fiasco and how many consoles they had to replace

I work with many cloud and IT solution providers that are preferred vendors for microsoft, and they are paying them a shyt load of money, and rightfully so. Microsoft should be THE place to go to for the evergrowing storage solution needs. The money immeasurable.

Same At my work place. This news is only a surprise to ppl who look at MS as a gaming company first. Now I dont know if they'll do it or not. But outside of Windows, MS does not need the home user when they can lock businesses into long ass licensing deals. If it wasnt for whats basically free money from Android patients you would of heard this type of talk sooner.

Im sure they want to take that 2 billion and dump it into their phones and tablets.

I don't know how much, but compared to the office, windows, and server and tools divisions, the entertainment division where xbox, bing, and zune are housed aint pulling its weight with the stockholders who have a strong voice with the company.
