.....Coli been infiltrated if we're making Elvis appreciation posts.
I say the bad blend happen 2013..or a few years later when other boards started to shut down.. a lot of those people flew over here and they were easily recognizable because of their lingo and "meme" images...that one racist bodybuilding board, that board that got shutdown because of some pedo admin shyt, KTT and that website that has a number in the front

honestly if we say fukk all of the above...the infiltration was inevitable due to anime:sas2:

Realm far from here
@Drinky Crow yeah I am a huge fan of Elvis Presley 🤩🤩🤩 Also, a huge fan of Frank Sinatra.

I like his album Elvis Is Back he did when he got out of the army. Love his King Creole and Blue Hawaii movie soundtracks.

I remember reading an interview where Chuck Berry said Elvis had a voice like no other and mentioned he thought Elvis was a superior vocalist to Bing Crosby.

im no elvis stan or anything but yall do know that like, everybody , including Black artists, was "covering" everyone elses music (especially Black artists from the Chitlin Circuit) from like the 1930s up until the 1970s? THe music industry was the wild west for a long time and music plagarism wasnt really a thing and wasnt really nearly as intentional as it would be in 2023.

You can hate Elvis all you want, IDRC but as @A Pimp Named Slickback said theres a lack of nuance about him as Fight The Power kinda mislabelled him as Black Music greatest Thief when the truth is far more complicated than that.

The fact he didn't give black artists their just due shouldn't take away from the mans talent but it does affect his legacy...... an amazing performer and talented musician but didn't give credit where credit was due ...that is the stain on his legacy

Again you’re arguing semantics. The bolded is the is only thing relevant in regards to the roots of this site.

:what:

Dog, I RUN THIS SITE.

You keep saying "we came from SOHH" while ignoring the fact that this site is specifically named after the sports sub-forum on SOHH.

The vast majority of people here never even posted on SOHH. What year do you think it is? The Booth hasn't driven any traffic to this site in damn near 10 years. The two biggest sub-forums are The Coliseum (again, SPORTS) and The Locker Room.

This isn't some random opinion, the owner himself will tell you this is a sports site first and foremost. You gonna tell him it's semantics too? :gucci:

From the documentary's on him, and I've been to Memphis & Mississippi countless times as I have family there -and from what I can tell no black folks hate him in that region(maybe I'm wrong) but in all, he seems to be the Eminem of blues and rock n roll imo. We can call him a culture vulture but when he was a kid and teenager he was sneaking into black churches, juke joints, and blues clubs just to hear the music, study and later imitate it. He hung out with all the black blues artists. Not a big fan of his nor caping for him, but he was actually in the mist of it all right from the jump

Yes they are, stop the cap.
You’re crazy man. You not having an appreciation for what they did for music doesn’t make them overrated. It’s an absolutely absurd statement

Their influence on music can still be heard in new shyt made today. Get all the way the fukk outta here with that nonsense. Just dap fishing garbage
