Obvious CAC thread.
He got the complexion for protectionSo yall can celebrate on Elvis on here who is a rumored racist and a pedophile, but not R Kelly? Majority of yall on this board are full of dog shyt.
Machine Gun......Hendrix's writing has a lot to be desired sometimes, but he honest to god worked his way thru fame and did metal first
Damn shame he wasn't able to get Band of Gypsys off the ground
An Elvis celebration thread on a Hip Hop messageboard is a wild thing to see. Those pics with Ali saved this thread and that Ray Charles Bob Costas interview sums up Elvis’s relationship to black folks and our music in real time.
He’s not worthy to be highlighted in our culture.
I'm 26. Was never a fan of rock and roll or blues. I only knew Little Richard and Elvis growing up. Never listened to either of their songs

Where am I celebrating Elvis? So yall can celebrate on Elvis on here who is a rumored racist and a pedophile, but not R Kelly? Majority of yall on this board are full of dog shyt.

Where do I place Elvis above all the Black artists I've mentioned in this thread?Obvious CAC thread.
He had his whole life stolen by his manager and a prime example of wasted potentiali think elvis’s music was pretty bad. like even for the standards of white people ripping of black rock and roll he was not as good as musicians like buddy holly. and then of course guys like bo diddley just annihilate him

His movie soundtracks and mid-70s stuff are trash, but the 50s and that brief period from 1968-69, he had a genuine love of music
He doesn't deserve the king of rock label if the bulk of his music is ballads
This isn't a hip-hop message board. Never was.
Fred.

I also knew B.B. King. But the rest of the vintage artists I knew were musicians like Stevie, Smokey and Marvin. Those were staples. R&B and Soul I had alot of knowledge of growing upI'm 26. Don't blame me blame white supremacy

Machine Gun......
I remember I got into a legit argument cause this negro try to say Prince was better on the guitar than Jimi "Plays with Teef" Hendrix....
Alot of breh forgot about Jimi and it sucks, cause he was on another level.
Funny thing about Kiss, Gene Simmons, the band's lead member is a MAGAt piece of shyt, but he went out his way to eulogize Chuck Berry and called out how the industry would have cacs steal Black music, it was blatant and Elvis was someone who unintentionally went the opposite directionI also knew B.B. King. But the rest of the vintage artists I knew were musicians like Stevie, Smokey and Marvin. Those were staples. R&B and Soul I had alot of knowledge of growing up
Rock and roll not so much. Most famous "rockers" I knew was Elvis, KISS, and Nirvana. Never heard their music. But I always heard their names. This is the problem
I agree with Buddy Holly and also add Jerry Lee Lewis.i think elvis’s music was pretty bad. like even for the standards of white people ripping of black rock and roll he was not as good as musicians like buddy holly. and then of course guys like bo diddley just annihilate him
