And you clearly can't be swayed to think his shyt don't stink. He's not my favorite producer but he Doesn't really deserve the heat he gets. Is he a GOAT producer? No. Is he terrible? No. Is he decent? Yeah. At least his shyt doesn't sound generic like most of todays stuff. At least he has his own sound. You clearly not into having a decent discussion so I'll leave it at that.

No. I can admit he has duds. Yes his production for the most part was basic but, what exactly is wrong with basic? Also you said it sounds generic. I don't remember anyones beats sounding like his back then. In order for something to be generic it needs to already have an existing product to copy. Maybe the drums, snares, and base were generic. but the way he put it together was obviously different enough to have a sound of its own.And you clearly can't be swayed to think his shyt don't stink.
His shyt don't sound generic? Yeah it does. It's some of the most basic ass shyt. Having his own sound doesn't mean anything if it ain't good.
Neptunes got they own sound
Timbaland got his own sound
difference between them and Em is, they put out classics. Em put out some good/decent shyt but hell no he's not underrated as a producer.
Sarcasmi never said you couldn't make a thread......
and that was when I had to give up rapping. Dude was too nice."
A lot of his beats were co produced with the Bass brothers. They had a hand in a lot of the the stuff he produced from marshall mathers lp to encore. They also did a track or 2 on Relapse.I'm an eminem fan but my suspicion is that a lot of his best beats were pretty much made by other dudes. If eminem does literally anything to a beat he gets a producer credit just because he's Eminem.
Also I remember this Kanye interview where he's giving em props as a producer but really he was shytting on him and playing him out. Pretty much let me know how respected em is by other people who really produce. I forget what he said but it was in the vein of Nas being like "yeah dude rhymed fire with liar and I wasand that was when I had to give up rapping. Dude was too nice."
