You gotta factor in flow and presentation, flow is why I brought up how he sounds on here sonically... and at the end of the day... thats where the music is. Theres a reason why MF doom doesnt resonate with everyone, or why mural by lupe for some tickles the left side of the brain more than the right. Cadence, presentation and flow. in comparison to yachty, pump, xayn, etc the combination of skill, rhyme schemes and most importantly...flow, is vastly superior...you're ignoring all that to point out some gripes with a few lines...in comparison to a bunch of artists with wacker flow and presentation who would get swallowed on the same song if em was rapping like this.
If someone never listened to rap, and it was your job to influence them to, would you show them most contemporary artists? Lol i wouldn't. Ive tried and they end up not feeling it. You show them shyt like "Fall".
I appreciate when someone is actually...flowing in world where that shyt doesnt exist anymore.
But i agree eminems recents albums were ALL trash, and this is the first one since back in day where he is actually flowing like he knows who he is again lol. So this is coming from someone who wrote em' off.
Interesting stuff, the only question is when can we see this happen. Budden can hold his own, but annoying stans gonna go haywire and say he's trash. He would get a lot of respect from people if he holds his own. What does he got to lose really?
