Definitely up there.....technically speaking. In terms of lyricism, presence, flow, charisma he is top notch.
All the screaming he's done in recent years....eh. Personally I think he's lost some faith in his mic presence. It seems he feels he can't command a track unless he raises his voice.
Plus his beat selection has been a mixed bag, but IMO him and Nas are the only two who can take a sub-par instrumental to the next level.

anybody that really love rap music know that technical ability is the most back handed compliment you can give an mc. the greatest compliemnt you can give an mc is that they are a great songwriter.
