NWA had notoriously bad deals which is why Cube left. Thank Jerry Heller for that. The only one really getting paid at Ruthless was him and Eazy-E.

Dre left Death Row with basically nothing but he didn't try to pursue anything financially. He pretty much wanted to wash his hands of them.

There is no retirement deals in the music industry. Any genre. Which is why so many artists branch off into acting, fashion, modeling, etc.
