Working from home for 5 years was great . I was able to do all my work in 3 out of the 8 hours I was clocked in.

:mjlol: I remember putting my boss on hold to flip the chicken one time and a client on hold to go pick my kid up from school early ‘cause he was sick.

I definitely did my job, but there was some flexibility

People can do what they want, but I know that if I was out there in the corporate world, I wouldn't quit shyt until I had another job lined up!

Perhaps those who quit their jobs because they have to report back to the office have another job, have an extensive savings that can get them by for a while or they decided to go into business for themselves.

Merely quitting a job without any job prospects isn't wise. That's hustling backwards!

To each one's own!

Man I’m using this work from home time to interview at other companies for 100% remote work. We gotta go back to the office later this year so I’m putting on the top half of a business outfit and taking interviews while “working”.

Got a new boss about 4 weeks ago, she asked us how we felt about going in. ( We are 3 days so far) We had about a 2-hour discussion along with other people on the team, everyone agreed 2 or 3 were sufficient enough. I just came back from vacay and people told me she was hinting at it but she decided that starting October 4th, we are returning 5 days a week and we can't wear sneakers unless it's a Friday. I literally had to turn off my zoom before I did something drastic. I'm doing push-ups right now in between typing so I don't punch a fukking hole in my wall

Damn I’m sorry to hear that
It doesn’t even make sense because at this point you’re only going back to the office for a full month and then there’s so many holidays and breaks in between
Just plain stupidity

My company was tryna to push for us to go to the office sept 13.
-first they did a soft remote application work to change status. They thought only 15% were going to file for it. But everybody filed one. They ignored the applications and denied everybody’s applications.
-then they did a survey which everybody responded no they didn’t want to go due to “covid concerns”. Now they push it back to January. I’m currently looking for another job in the mean time.

From a business standpoint, it does not make sense. We had the best amount of numbers and outcomes across 4 locations and she said one time 8 people came into the office and we had limited staff but there were also times when we had full staff and 1 person come in from 9 -5

I’m taking a pay cut to wfh.

Don’t care.

I have multiple streams of income but, the flexibility to move is priceless. Right now I’m in a different country, in a 5 star hotel on the beach. If I had to be in the office, this would have been impossible.
