If he'd stayed with Def Squad after the split he would have been the odd man out vibe wise, I feel. I think a lot of Nas' appeal and the 'Hip-Hop Golden Child' aura he started out with, stems from the fact he came out dolo with a bunch of powerful co-signs (Large Professor, Serch, Tip, Premo, Pete Rock)
Interesting hypothetical, though

Like I said.. some joints would be nice but not not an entire album ..
His style is to laid back for Time 4 Sum Akshun ... it doesnt fit they want efx (i know erick didnt produce that) ...
Erick changed his style so he can do a few things now... now that I think about it .... has Nas ever been on a E DOuble track?

Closest he got to something in the vein of 'Time 4 Sum Akshun' might be 'Live At The Barbecue', in terms of vibe.
Can't think of a Erick/ Nas song. And Erick has beats that occasionally I forget he made like '4,3,2,1', but none come to mind - not even an RnB tune that Erick did that he cameo'd on.
I'm glad Combat brought EPMD up back into the GOAT duo conversation where they belong. And they belong as the number 1 spot like he said, not Outkast.
