Eric turned down Biggie, Nas and Wu Tang for record deals because he "didn't get it"
Turned down a chance to sign both Game and 50 Cent..
Turned down a chance to meet and work with Michael Jackson because he was more impressed with Teddy Riley..

Nothing work with that.. sometimes its just not right..
Eminem signed with Dre instead of Ducksown.
Joel Ortiz left aftermath.
Game went from interscope to 50
50 left JMJ
Besides... think about it.. can we really appreciate NAS if he had a album full of Erick Sermon early 90s funk tracks.. It doesnt fit his style..

Now I'm trying to imagine what he would sound like on beats like 'The Most Beautifullest', 'Headbanger' and 'Can't Wait'
I'm equal parts
If he'd stayed with Def Squad after the split he would have been the odd man out vibe wise, I feel. I think a lot of Nas' appeal and the 'Hip-Hop Golden Child' aura he started out with, stems from the fact he came out dolo with a bunch of powerful co-signs (Large Professor, Serch, Tip, Premo, Pete Rock)
Interesting hypothetical, though![]()
Like I said.. some joints would be nice but not not an entire album ..
His style is to laid back for Time 4 Sum Akshun ... it doesnt fit they want efx (i know erick didnt produce that) ...
Erick changed his style so he can do a few things now... now that I think about it .... has Nas ever been on a E DOuble track?
