Sayin this falls on deaf ear. The content of mainstream Rap/hip hop is largely encouraged by the youth and only the youth. For the majority It takes time, experience, and maturity to admit that the music has a negative effect on our culture. IMO, It’s all a cycle. I use to think being like the negative traits of 50 was cool back in high school, until my pops beat my ass for getting in dumb ass fights.
