In my opinion, it they wouldn't have been as effective as Kobe/Shaq. Shaq in Orlando wasn't the same as LA Shaq. Orlando Shaq didn't really have the soft touch, the jump hook and the other intangibles that he developed in LA. He was only a force that dunked on people. And Penny's drop was once they took the ball out of his hands as much, making him a 2. With his knees going to hell, he could've still been dominant as the PG, from the post. I will say this though: Orlando DID offer him in the end higher numbers than LA and recall on the day or the night before Sportscenter reporting 123 million (He signed for 121) and I think in the documentary that moment when he John and Pat met Leonard at the Atlanta volleyball practice they all knew Shaq had taken the LA deal. Whether or not that was Armato then cutting off any communication with the Orlando party when Shaq was still holding out or not is pure speculation but I also recall Shaq's mom saying she wanted him to stay in Orlando and like the doc showed neither of his parents them were at the press conference or during the negotiations.
That's not to say he cant be his own man but I think there's always been a feeling he was closed out in the situation and he seems to weirdly all of a sudden allude nowadays he would have second guessed it.
