To assume the MAgic win just based on those FT's is premature. They gave up a HUGE lead.

I remember watching that game, rooting for the Rockets and just feeling hopeless until the 4th quarter. Magic just looked more energetic, more talent, just better. Regardless of those FT's, the Rockets knew they could play with the Magic after they stormed back like that.

Maybe it goes 6, but Houston still wins. The bench was just too much.

The Magic beat them both times in the RS FWIW, neither game was particularly close, plus like you said, they were up 20 in game 1. If they could have held onto that game I think Hill could have rallied the troops and they would have gotten the wins. Multiple players on both teams have basically attested to this in various interviews(Kenny Smith alluded to it in the Houston 30 for 30, once Anderson missed those free throws he said they were going to get swept. Holding a mental edge is huge)

Horace said he still thinks about that game from time to time. They couldn't recover... I really believe that if Nick makes one of those free throws the Magic win game 1, win the series and Shaq reups with the Magic.

Even Shaq was damn near crying when talking about that game. And he went on to win 4 Championships.

There are some games that never leave you no matter what happen in the future.
