Then they did little job of actually dedicating any coverage to the NBA throughout the day until they created the Jump. They think people wanna watch 2 hours of NFL talk 24/7/365 get that bullshyt off the air like every other sport during the offseason. Espn needs to cut ties with cable providers and turn the watchespn app into the sports version of Netflix
Make espn a standalone app that you pay for directly instead of needing a cable subscription
Its really the only smart play they have left

The problem is the leagues are doing the direct to consumer sales themselves.
NFL has sunday ticket and is thinking of making a NFL over the top network, NBA League Pass, MLB has its own thing as well.
ESPN's business model is dead and they are locked into terrible contracts.
Its gonna take a miracle to turn it around, but they might be able to if they sell off their radio stations

MLB's national TV contract will be coming up in a few years, dont overpay for it. Low ball if anything. MLB is not popular on National TV outside of the playoffs (which ESPN doesnt have the rights too) so if they walk fukk it.

Pay all that money for garbage. They can't even schedule games right ain't no one gonna give a rats ass about no Detroit vs Indiana 8pm game Wednesday night in March that shyt is DOA. They need to go back to showing some wrasslin during the day whenever I'm at home or at bar chilling these shows are fukking same by the book booking I can't see how anyone can watch this shyt by the time its 1pm on the west coast shyt already beat into the ground.
