dry heat, beautiful mountains, golf courses (thinking of old man shyt), great restaurants and resorts between PHX proper and Scottsdale...not sure what else these old nikkas need for a two-night stay, especially when SAS will be on ESPN for 14 hrs/day :heh:

People gotta stop acting like every average city is a big market. There are only like 6 big market teams in the NBA. Lakers, Clippers, Nets, Knicks, Bulls and 6ers. Everybody else is small market in comparison. Just cause you got a metro area, doesn't mean you can match those cities household per household from a pure numbers perspective. New York got almost 3 times as many households as Phoenix. You combine Phoenix and Milwaukee together and you would still have a small market.

Id argue Golden State, the Rockets and the Wizards are major markets too. You look at the top metro areas in the US and it’s gonna always be NYC, LA, Chicago, Houston, SF, DC. The only problem is Washington has been garbage for forever but they definitely have the money and the media influence as well as the Bay.

Better to reign in Hell than serve in Heaven
Are you being serious? Glendale, Arizona has had multiple Super Bowls. The NFL has hosted SBs at Indianapolis, Tampa, Indianapolis, Detroit, Jacksonville......and this is off the top of my head.
That's rare and RECENT... For most of history, it was florida, cali, NO, Texas... It wasn't until 1992 that they went outside those to put it in MN... They added ATL to the big 4, and never went outside those 5 again until 2006... From 2006 to 2024, they go outside of the big five, 5 times total....

NFL might entertain a shytty city once in a decade, but they know where their bread is buttered
