Teddy is game-managing, i dont think him and Norv are a good fit but the opps have been there. he looks really average and at times timid. he fumbles alot too, which alot forsaw with the small hands
Fumbles don't bother me. The thing is I thought he was like Andy Dalton/Matt Ryan in the sense that he doesn't have a big arm, but is still just very efficient. I saw some good signs against the Cardinals. Just hope he improves. I know the O line is bad, but Teddy still doesn't take enough chances/trust his arm. He's got the talent.
bustwater still ain't got 10 tds?Bortles 30 Tds
Carr 28 tds
Teddy 9 tds
Manziel 6 tds (played in 8 games/ 4 starts)
I'm just shocked brehs. I didnt think Bortles/Carr would be THAT productive...THIS soon. And I expected so much more from Teddy.
Its early. Teddy just has to figure out how to put up more TDs on the board.
comparing numbers doesnt tell the story....carr and bortles play on teams that throw the ball first, have weapons for them to throw to( jags might have the best young wr corp in the league; and the raiders have cooper and crabtree), and/or are usually losing, so they are gonna get a lot of garbage time stats....teddy plays on a team that is trying to win with running and defense, which is a good idea when you have ap and a decent defense....anyway, cause of that, they tend to play in lower scoring games, and arent really in garbage time type situations for teddy to inflate numbers...also, besides the emergence of diggs, he doesnt have weapons to rely on like that...the te and fast wr they had high hopes for not developing at all, and wallace is wallace: good for a big play here or there, but that's about it....
from what they've done so far, teddy is still the best of the bunch....everything he showed in college (accuracy, pocket presence, ability to make all the throws, etc.), is translating to the pros......and i still like bortles and carr, i just put carr over bortles at this point...more so cause bortles hasnt played in the same offense scheme until the last couple years....
as for johnny, he's still what i thought of him coming out: exciting player, but not a starting nfl qb...hell, he's barely a backup...if it wasnt for all the attention he gets, he would be 3rd string some where....

Nah man Bortles and Carr are clearly better. The garbage time stats argument doesnt work cause they've played in alot of close games.comparing numbers doesnt tell the story....carr and bortles play on teams that throw the ball first, have weapons for them to throw to( jags might have the best young wr corp in the league; and the raiders have cooper and crabtree), and/or are usually losing, so they are gonna get a lot of garbage time stats....teddy plays on a team that is trying to win with running and defense, which is a good idea when you have ap and a decent defense....anyway, cause of that, they tend to play in lower scoring games, and arent really in garbage time type situations for teddy to inflate numbers...also, besides the emergence of diggs, he doesnt have weapons to rely on like that...the te and fast wr they had high hopes for not developing at all, and wallace is wallace: good for a big play here or there, but that's about it....

Its just hard to put a guy who has 9 tds....over a guy that has 28 or 30
I'm a Teddy fan...and still think in the long run he can be better than them. But as of now...no. Not sure Teddy can/will win games with his arm yet. Right now its just play efficient and let AP takeover.
Raiders have had very little garbage time this year, we've been in pretty much every game but the first and Carr didn't even play the 2nd half for that one![]()
