Farmaajo is a disgrace.

I just think that people had unrealistic expectations. Dude is in an extremely tough position trying to manage internal conflict in the administration, a corrupt Parliament, all the foreign groups that want to have a say, the conflict between the Khaleej naago that we got dragged into, Shabaab, trying to deliver on his promises etc.. plus he doesn't seem like a strong leader.

I don't envy that dude one bit.

I do think that we will eventually get our shyt together, but the people are going to have to lose confidence in the current crop of leaders and demand more.

As for Farmajo, even if dude is a huge failure in the end, the fact that the people of Mogadishu and other parts of the South voted for a member of the "enemy tribe" because they loved his message is a tiny glimmer of hope I guess. This was unthinkable a few years ago.

But there's still a long way to go :wow:
Agreed. When I say Somalia is done for I mean in its current form. 4.5, qabyaalad and the current clan based federalism need to :camby: The biggest enemy facing Somalis is tribalism. Bigger than any Al Shabab threat or foreign influence. Shabab and other countries are eating over our tribal beef and tension
Farmaajo is a disgrace.

I just had my moment of clarity again. Ethiopia haa jajabto. :hubie:
It’s only Farmajos second year. I’m still giving him until the end of his first term to fully judge his accomplishments. He’s a weak character though. And Ethiopia isn’t the enemy. Somalis are their own worst enemies and as soon as they get over petty shyt then we gucci :ahh:

Nah it wasn't a jab, just a general statement. Our worst enemies are in Somalia, not in Kenya or Ethiopia. That mentality has got to go. :francis:

We put ourselves in this situation. Why would Ethiopia and Kenya not try to benefit from it? :stopitslime:

If we had not dismantled our state by our own hands and elevated tribal affiliation above the common good things would've been different. Blaming others for eating from a buffet that you've invited them to is ridiculous. We served our country on a plate.

Best believe if the roles were reversed, we would've done the same :manny:

You might think that I'm being defeatist, but there's more strength in my position than yours which basically just assigns the blame to outside forces. If we're responsible for our own mess that means we can do something about it.

I think you misunderstood me. I don’t blame Ethiopia for all of our problems. The war happened and that’s that. But if you think Ethiopia’s historic actions (like undermining politicians in Somalia) is not something they should be held accountable for you’re not thinking straight. I’m not against them for petty blood feud reasons. And by the way I have lost family because of them. I am against Ethiopia because they’ve proven time and time again remaining the most powerful in the horn is more important to them then acting right.

A lot of countries have internal issues. That doesn’t stop them from governing on a day to day basis. We need to wait it out and see what farmaajo is gonna do. But what lands we own and who we sell our ports to is gonna have a massive affect on Somalia’s future. I’m not a fan of the Turks for this reason also.

You’re position is most definitely not stronger. You have tunnel vision. You’re too focused on one aspect of the development of our country that you can’t see the full picture in my opinion. We need a Somali leader who can plan ten steps ahead and can see the challenge from all angles. Qabilism is one part of the problem. But to establish a country that is self sufficient and can defend itself we need to tackle all our issues at once.

Oh and drop all this why wouldn’t they wanna benefit from it shyt. Don’t absolve them of the shyt they’ve done and are still doing. You bloody Somalis from Somalia love to forget that we get treated like second class citizens and potential criminals in Kenya and Ethiopia just for being Somali. In our own land we’re presumed to be foreigners. I want no part in a future with them. That doesn’t make me weak, it doesn’t make me evil. These weren’t borders that we drew for ourselves. And any African who has a problem with that has a lot more in common with Europeans then you think.

My brother in law gave me the run down. He heavily fukks with this new president. Says his parents and everyone back home are feeling the changes and are happy af that there is a new Oromo president. He said this new president's political game is on tight and even settled the nile dispute with Egypt!:ohhh:

I don't know if he's a puppet for the elites but I am hearing that he is very ambitious and trying to fix things internally and externally. The Horn of Africa needs this imo.
