since I work with numbers all day, you should clearly see why I like numbers. data points from 80 different sources is superior to data points from 3. This is high school statsNumbers are not a better breakdown as a game that I consider a 10/10 might mean a 5/10 for you.
How hard is it for you to grasp this? You build NASA like desktops, mess with numbers all day and yet can't see how wrong you are in this argument?
There will be better breakdowns if numbers are eliminated because it will force reviewers to really make their point instead of hiding behind a number.
Plus, with meta-analyses the extremely high scores cancel out the extremely low scores and you get a good estimate of the general consensus of a game.
The more numbers the better.
And it's not like these reviewers are just giving out numbers. They actually write reviews too. Don't act like all they do is put a 7.2 on something. If you want more detail you can read the review. I say read good reviews, mediocre reviews and poor reviews. That gives you a good impression of a game.
