So basically if you're black and not in sports or entertainment your life is doomed.Get a degree(including stem or computer science)and don't join some dumb ass frat and/or network with a bunch of bytch nikkas, gooks or cacs you can't get a gig? :what:

I'm tired of this shyt man.Being black shouldnt be this hard. All you people who believe in god
:sas1:If you recognize the Black struggle and don't believe in God then you're basically saying nikkas are too stupid to see the forest for the trees and are incapable of self determination and they've oppressed all these years because they can't compete on an intellectual lvl with CACz.:dahell:

I keep telling you negroes that atheism is not an end in and of itself, it's simply a system of the pervasive moral decay of the CAC. Absolute power corrupts absolutely.

But all that's another story, I'm no storyteller...:sas2:

A.G Gaston....that's all I'm going to say

edit: I've read about 50% of these replies and they are the truth. However, for those younger guys that are reading this just know that it is still better to have a degree than nothing at all. I don't want people using racism as an excuse for them not completing their degrees. The economy is getting better now folks. While it's harder for black men to get to get good jobs, it's not impossible. This is actually one of the first generation of blacks to work in an office setting on a large scale. We're making progress and I don't want ANYONE to lose sight of that. Owning our own businesse's and employing people is a capitalist's dream come true. We're here now. Not working for UPS, no bell boy shyt, not serving dinners, not in the kitchen etc. (or as some white man once told my trainer when I walked up to work on his computer "No UPS graduates":dahell:) We just have to work out some of the bugs (cism' for a couple of decades) to break through. We're here :salute:

@B_Da_Mang89 @Danny Up is a cac troll bruh. Anytime he see's a group of blacks, he doesn't get scared, he types instead

Underemployment is ridiculous.

Gotta be fit for the grind.
hEy i went through it and people made fun of me on this board for it last year...i had to do what o had to do and take what i had to take cause i needed money.

It was a blow to my ego...but fukk it...i went through dozens of applications sent tons of resumes out and they were the only ones that wanted to hire me.

Luckily i got a better job...but fukk i dont even know how long ill do this for...ive had way too many jobs where i never worked there for more than six months. Its like im throwing stuff at a wall and seeing what sticks.

I'm a native New Yorker......NYC is absolutely the worst place to land a job after earning your Bacehlor's....out of 20 interviews 2 were in NYC
+The advantage of NYC, the connections you can make.....JOIN LINKEDIN, join the groups (Young Professionals Black/African, Industry specific groups)especially those that host events in NYC

example: Face2Face Africa
besides a bunch of fine sistas....get your networking up
https://www.linkedin.com/company/face2face-africa
Face2face Africa (F2FA) is an ambitious, forward-looking, fast-growing media group with a diverse range of expertise and interests. We serve a technologically interconnected generation of young people across the world who have a shared-ancestry in Africa. Leveraging the talents and technological know-how of this same generation, we provide our audience with entertaining content and intelligent discourse across our wide range of platforms.
I moved to NYC because as a African/West Indian first gen I wanted to be around other Africans west Indians and African americans. I didn't have that many options for that other than here...Oakland or I don't even know. There aren't that many places like that in America...and I don't see myself living anywhere else.

I wouldn't even move to the south cause it's too racist down there. And in Pittsburgh I was just sick and tired of being token black guy at 95% of places I went to and sick of seeing confederate flags everyday.

Frankly I'm really thinking about taking up work opportunities in Nigeria...I'm sick of this country.

I cant relate :mjlol:

My linkedin buzzing off the hook :mjlol:

It all comes down to networking and skills. The people with skills dont network. The people who network dont have the skills.

Not that I care, I plan on pursuing a phd in cyber security and AI :blessed:

Yep, its like they trying to find that "perfect" worker that doesn't exist and still mistreat him/her when they hire them. :what:

I'm gonna keep it ALL THE WAY real on this one...

If you're not making money, in 2015, with all of the knowledge and information you have access to at a click of a button after a Google search, then YOU DON'T DESERVE TO BE MAKING MONEY. There's no excuses any more, you just have to go out and get it.

:stopitslime: said it best... "Can't get paid in an Earth this big, you worthless kid"

And I'm not talking about making $2 million per year or anything like that, but if you wanna do something out here in 2015 99% chance it's YOU holding you back and nothing else.

But that's what colleges do too... set you up to be an employee where you have to beg somebody else to give you a job. Gotta stop doing that shyt, brothers.

Edit: I didn't read the article by the way, so if I come off ignorant :yeshrug: I just read the headline.
Real rap.

Oh I know what that nikkas saying...There other ways to make money for yiurself.

The problem is most people on this board still have that worker bee mindset and are shortsighted.

Harsh truth...but truth nonetheless...I see it all the fukkin time on here.

Gotta walk before you crawl. Who is starting up a business with no expertise and money? And most importantly no customers. People really think once you start a business customers are going to fall out the sky.

You gotta start somewhere, I don't see myself working for someone at 40 or 50 years old, but at 20 and 30 years you gonna have to make money and get your affairs in order.

What did I say that was ridiculous? Go out and be an entrepreneur. Hell, you can make money out here off of blogs, off of YouTube videos... if you're a chick you can make money charging dudes $25 to watch you shake your ass for 15 minutes. You don't have to ask the white man for a gig.
Applause.
Applause.
Applause.
You see it.

Again...people on here got that worker be syndrome and can't see the forest from the trees.

I agree you got to have capital but once you get that established you really don't need anything else..

But shut there are tons of angles where you don't even have to deal with employers or even beg especially in the Internet era...I mean it is tough and time consuming but let's not act like they don't exist.

Frankly I just don't like dealing with people too much (mostly because they don't like dealing with me...not because I'm hard to deal with iRL actually I'm very easy to deal with, me being an african black male...I've had to deal with tons of people who felt really uncomfortable around me for no reason whatsoever other than that...and people wonder why I'm kind of anti-social...lol).

It's out there...you just got to be creative.

:salute:I feeeel this.

I tried the corporate job thing and "played the game" and once I realized these white people HATED me no matter what, I knew I had to start my own business. shyt is :mjcry: cause now that I understand that it's rigged I can foresee what my battle and challenges are. It is downright scary. But I have to find a way or imma kill one of these motherfukkas in an office. I just couldn't take feeling like they were literally trying to crush my soul everyday.

And I'm a black female so I know I was meeting a quota in that office. There were two other black women and once I got hired they got rid of one :dahell:. I saw the storm brewing and it hurt my soul to know I hurt my people for simply wanting to earn a living. Then I saw them slowly dismantle the BEST worker they had who was a BLACK MAN with a degree from Stanford. That is when I learned them degrees mean shyt to these mothafukkas. They purely hate you. He was intelligent and training everyone and putting the managers in their place, respectfully. But they couldn't handle that shyt. It's like they couldn't compute "intelligence" from ANYONE. They literally dismantled this man's job and "disappeared" him one day. shyt is :mindblown: when I think too hard about it.

And him and the woman they fired were real OGs I could have gained so much game from. The only other black women there was c00ning and :cape: most of the time so I could only take so much of her. I was on an island dying of starvation working there. And since I was gracefully dogging their bullets their hate and vengeance grew for me one day. Eventually they picked me off too but I'm 100% at peace with creating my own job now cause that shyt is not the business.
I feel ya.

I'm a natural overachiever. I've always been 110% at everything I do.

It really burns white people's souls when a black person does better than them at anything...I've experienced it so many times.

Like yourself I already decided corporate America was not for me. I only liked the money it could provide but I just couldn't deal with the people in it just like I couldn't deal with all of those a$$holes douchebags and jerkoffs in college. I knew what I was good at and was willing to live bunny and sacrifice certain things I had gotten used to to get there.

It sad that we have to deal with people that genuinely hate us and don't want us to succeed for our basic tenets for survival (food, clothing, shelter). This is why I just hate corporate America with a passion.

People may say I'm overtly idealistic and not thinking in terms of reality but my mental health and sanity is more important than any amount of money.

Bless

Dawgm..I actually have new job listings in my email box everyday...it gets annoying actually.

Then again, my resume has been circulating online for a while. Good for you...but with sites like monster, indeed, careerbuilder, that's not out of the realm of possibility.

but forreal though, why are you nikkas so surprised it is so difficult for blacks in america to do shyt such as get a job :comeon:. this article shouldnt surprise any of you guys. come on, you should go out in the real world EXPECTING it to be tough, not because it can be tough for everybody, but because you are black:yeshrug:. didnt yall parents beat that concept into your heads? my parents sure as hell did. fact is, Cacs are gonna be on that bullshyt, they did it for over 300 years before the 60s, what makes yall think that afew laws changing is gonna change these mofukkas mentality:russ:.

I'm in college studying IT, specifically networking and security on a two year degree at the best technical college in the state. While i study my dikk off, i plan on racking up on certs, interning, and once i graduate working on my white voice and using my complexion for the protection for the collection to get a good entry level job. I've got no connections unfortunately :mjcry:, so i'm just gonna graduate, apply and pray.
I'm trying to get into IT and real estate. By the time I'm 35 I want to have multiple income streams.

These cacs don't play fair...why should i? I already feel like I'm not where I should be at 30 and I'm not trying to continue that streak of underachievement anytime soon.
