I did but thats before i had knowledge of self.
Acts 3:19 “Repent therefore, and turn back, that your sins may be blotted out.”
In my opinion, most of us don't really control our destinies. The ceiling is capped (at different levels) from birth for a lot of us. What are the odds that a Black child born today to a West Baltimore mother makes it to even a mid-level office job? Not very high.Usually it's just ourselves keeping us from being happy. u just have to realize u control your own destiny
I guess what I mean is that it's up to us to make ourselves as happy as possible. When we start to see everything as impossible, that depression hole gets deeper. I remember sitting in my room on Saturday nights, just down af. And I didn't even know why. I just had no passion, no positive tboughts, no motivation. Just in a rut like life ain't shyt. Then I realized it was all on me. Didn't want to feel that way any longer especially since people were starting to notice. I knew I had to just kick that shyt. I know it's different for everyone. But I was tired of that shyt.In my opinion, most of us don't really control our destinies. The ceiling is capped (at different levels) from birth for a lot of us. I'm not talking to anybody face to face cause I won't ever do it
Working in a office is NOT a good thing for black people. The corporate environment is emotionally stifling and kills creativity. Once you realize your ideas will be used to benefit a boardroom full of whites, you quickly stop trying and do enough to get by (if you're smart). Yes the money, may be good but overall it sucks. People need to stop making that the "ceiling".In my opinion, most of us don't really control our destinies. The ceiling is capped (at different levels) from birth for a lot of us. I agree with you. I've said on here before that I'd never work in an office setting and have to deal with all the office politics, 'cism, etc. People just make the ceiling because it's one the most achievable positions career wise while still paying an adequate wage. I can't imagine working in a office filled with White people.Working in a office is NOT a good thing for black people. The corporate environment is emotionally stifling and kills creativity. They don't control shyt around here.![]()

Yeah it took me a while to realize but my depression was always tied to work. It's not that I'm lazy but it was just generally not fulfilling. I remember I walked out of a job...just went to lunch and didn't come back and it was the best I had felt in months.I agree with you.
