Ever lost a job but still leave for work, then your girl eventually finds out?

Damn those delivery gigs pay that well. I got to look into it.Women are understanding if they see you making the attempt to correct the situation, but still.. the countdown is on. Don't sleep.
But.. this topic happened to me before, lost the highest paying job I have ever had. I was in the city, and she would see me walk out the corporate office with the briefcase all suited and booted.
After I lost that gig, I kept "going to work" everyday, but in reality, I was driving for Doordash and Uber Eats. Eventually I told her the pressures of the gig got to me and I quit. Found all types of side hustles for nine months before I found another gig that matched my previous salary. Took me 30 days to find a new gig too -- truth be told, I enjoyed food delivery too much. Was making like $200 in 7 hours a day, driving around listening to audiobooks and tupac.
Yeah ....
That was a sad period in my life
And difficult to pull off
Cause my job started early like 6:00 am in the morning before she left for her job at 8 am
So I had to find a way to give her the allusion I left for work
So id get up ...shower
Get dressed and take my laptop with me
Then go to the 24 hour McDonald's on the OTHER side of town so she wouldt see my car and have a sausage biscuit and a water
Cause that's all I could afford
And sjt on my laptop going to Monster.com or updating my likendin profile
Till about 9am when the public library would open up so I could use thier computers and print up my resume
Chill in there and wait to see if I get any emails or calls for an interview while posting on SOHH.COM messageboard about hip hop politics ...race...
Talking a gang of shyt...and dissing posters and talking down to people while I was UNEMPLOYED typing away on a library computer terminal
I was so lame
This went on for about 3 weeks till my nosey ass girlfriend at the time opened up a letter i had from the labor department saying I've been approved for Unemployment benefits
She confronted me about it saying why I didn't tell her
I told her it was my pride
She said right there now she is getting trust issues cause I am hiding info from her
And she figured something was up cause she noticed every weekday one of her son's lunchable meals would be missing or a Debbie cake
And demanded to see if I had any of her daughter's Capri Suns in my laptop bag
I didn't like these allegstions
Said fukk this shyt took my azz down to the temp agency the next day and they got me a job working at the Port..
I hated it ..but it was better then hiding out doing nothing
