They retreat into false equivalence regarding the state of black folk, claiming that there has been no progress made and therefore no difference between the America of Pless v Ferguson and the America of Brown v Board.

Even more fantastically, some retreat into a fantasy regarding wringing reparations from the same people who are preparing to openly kill black people in the street. America has been trending towards a Civil War the last ten years. Obama was demographic PTSD from the future for these cacs. They will jettison democracy if it means ensuring continued white rule of this country. This Supreme Court will enshrine minoritarian rule by its support of the independent legislative theory, killing what remains of AA and cosigning extreme gerrymandering. But hey, playing out part two to the most destructive war in American history can't make things any worse for black people right?

This upcoming ruling will be far more consequential than Roe v Wade. If SCOTUS decides to rule in its favor America is done done. Your vote will not matter and you will have ZERO representation. The media is far too silent on the consequences of this upcoming ruling imo.

This would effectively give all the power to state legislators to decide the fate of elections. Currently Republicans are in control of a majority of state legislators in key states across the country. If SCOTUS rules in favor of this we'll have one party rule. The Dems and Biden are twidling their thumbs while we're on the brink of becoming a one party state. Maximum pressure needs to be put on Biden to expand the courts ASAP.
