If something doesnt happen like a new BLACK (Lil Wayne, Kanye,50 cent) esque level superstar popping up in the next couple of months.

I guarantee you the industry in a few years is gonna be nothing but a bunch of Mac Millers, Mackelmore, Miley Cyrus n Iggy Azelias running around.

While the hurrr duuurrr reaaaaaal hip hop heads will have a bone thrown at em every now and again. (Kendrick Lamar,JoeyBadass etc)

Gonna be hard to erase 40 years of Hip Hop history, that is filled with blacks in it. This ain't the case of Rock music when it was robbed at its infancy. 40 years of history can't just go up in smoke in the age of the internet and living legends still around, touring underground and around the world.

Why you think they been softening the game up? LOL, you think these illiterate clowns they parading out there for mass consumption are actually good or talented? Naw fam. It's so when they start parading the Mileys and Macklemores etc out there it's like well we're looking for a mainstream acceptable look. shyt just look at the American Music Awards, the Euro Awars, the Youtube Awards and then coming up is the Grammys.

shyt make it seem like black folks don't have talent. A bunch of rappers who can barely speak. I like Kendrick but him alone ain't gonna cut it.

They got you thinking R&B is nonexistent. They parade Robin Thicke, Timberlake, Adele, Miley and now Lorde out.

And you have us over here dissing our folks who can sing and bigging up everyone using autotune.

The rappers who can actually rap aren't "relevant" but the dudes who just make a bunch of noises behind nice beats are pushed to the forefront.

Everybody always like HipHop is the voice of the youth. So let the youth run it. Yeah run it into the ground.

The defense has been "breh just let them eat" for whoever is "winning" at the moment. They do this because by the time these kids grow up and are able to realize they been played for an agenda, they gonna be irrelevant so who gonna listen.

It's like folks in jail. It takes you going to jail to be like "Yo don't follow what I did and end up here."

Only thing is, yo ass is already in jail, criminal record, limited opportunities for the rest of your life, before you realize the shyt you doing is wrong. Music industry going down the same path. By the time folks realize the fukk shyt agenda being put in motion, the game gonna be over. Bunch of Droopy Elliot Wilson type faces looking back in 10 yrs like "damn, we fukked up"

lol I have no idea who this Lordes person is..

And lol, popstars have tried to do rap before...they never last. Most of them just pop for a minute, spit a sentence and the game gets rid of them.

I remember a lot of em doing that shyt in the mid-2000s especially.

But this time is different because hip hop itself is now much more diversified and accepting. Don't expect these trends to stop anytime soon.

http://www.slate.com/articles/arts/...lboard_hot_100_where_were_the_black_acts.html

"The same could be said for the music-consuming public in 2013. They love rhythmic music as much as ever. They just weren’t much interested in black artists. As the year draws to a close, not one lead black act has topped the Hot 100 all year. "

white artists making black music is not a new phenomena, white artists being more successful than blacks in not new.
i don't see anything new thats supposed to have us at panic stations...
