Before the pandemic, I was complaining about everything closing at 10pm here in the ATL. Coming from the DMV, that was an hour too early for me. A lot of nights it would be a little too late to cook something; and that time would be close to10pm, when everything closed.

Maybe just maybe, workers are tired of bullshyt at night.

Maybe, these "jobs" need a revamp to better welcome workers on a better pay, better conditioning ratio.

Maybe, people are finally realizing their work and don't want to deal with doofus ass customers and managers treating them like slaves.

Maybe, folks are finally coming to the conclusion that there is more to life than running the rat race with nothing to gain.

As somebody that used to work the night shift, I am happy that these places are closing early. The only damn thing that should be open at the wee hours are gas stations and Waffle Houses and even those places are struggling.

At the end of the day, Covid expose whats wrong with this country and the higher ups are still lost in the sauce of what to do this fix this dire situation.

They marketing the job to anybody and everybody who wants a job and nobody still ain’t working. High school or not folks don’t want to work for $7 an hour

That’s $7 an hour before taxes too, after taxes that puts them closer to about $6 an hour.

No one is putting up with shytty customers, pissy managers, working odd hours, and having to work weekend and holidays to maybe get 150 bucks. You’ll fukk around and spend half of that on the fuel costs getting back and forth to the job. That shyt is laughable.

I live in the 4th largest metro area in the USA and I'm accustomed to leaving my house late as hell and still being able to do shyt I could do at 3pm

Now I got to rush and get everything done by 7pm

When to get some louisianas fried chiccen last night these nikkas was closed at 7:30

What makes it confusing is that for whatever reason even after 99% of shyt closes at 8/9, there's still significant traffic on the road like shyt is still open
