Album is growing on me. Didn't like the beats on Stay alive and Favorite injury initially but they are both stuck in my head now. Those 2 songs and top seeded, give the album some type of cohesion towards the middle of the album... Before it gets ruined by Greatest motivation (worst beat on the album by far )

Greatest Motivation seems like everyone's least fave. It's the only skip for me.

Its not a BAD song, just doesnt fit anywhere on the album....I did like Theravadas verse on it.

Faves are Outta Bounds, Seeing Double, Laughing Last, Dutch Angle, Nothing's Perfect, Favorite Injury, Top Seeded, and Nothing to See Here. No particular order on those. Honorable mentions to Rain Every Season, Future Memories, and Stay Alive.

My only complaints really are that I wish Nothing's Perfect and Define Success were a little bit longer. I know he was going for making them short on purpose, but man...feel like we got shorted a little on those. If Nothing's Perfect had a 2nd verse it's probably be my favorite song on the album. I wouldn't be mad at Plans Change being a little longer too. And I wish the bonus track Paint Pictures had made the project.

After some time to sit with this, I feel Vol 1 and 2 compliment each other well. I still think this one sounds less dark, but it's still a moody listen. Gonna be good to listen to in the fall when it cools off outside.

ALC confirmed today too that Step Bros 2 is done and will drop on Ev's record label.

yeah, one thing I heard him say that I never thought about is that he never would have called the first one Vol 1 if he had never intended to have a Vol 2. He said if he hadn't always planned to do a Vol 2, then he just would've called the first one Unlearning and left it at that. And he said there will be a Vol 3 to close it out, hopefully sooner than later, and that he will likely produce all of it himself. I do prefer the features on Vol 1 BTW

Dope video, made me appreciate the song alot more. Ev's videos are always creative and different. It's my current favorite along with nothings perfect.

Speaking of nothings perfect, you are right, its too short. It needed atleast a second verse man...
