i lived in visitation valley in SF when i was a kid and it was bunch of samoans dealing drugs everywhere, needles at the bball courts, broken glass in the sand box at the park mothafukkas fighting in the middle of the night, people doing donuts at 2am had this crack head ringing our doorbell at 2-3am talkin bout she's pregnant and needs a ride to the hospital until my neighbor came out and got her to leave (i think he beat her ass cuz she wouldn't let him sleep)
pops moved us to merceid heights/oceanview (suburb in SF) school was hella clean, after school programs, little league, bball, football leagues.

This is real shyt. You shouldn't be in the burbs until you got a family or if you really like your peace and quiet. I just love the energy and life you get when you in the hood, any hood. As long as shyt is chill most of the time and you know people shyt is nice. You're not far from downtown or from all the fun nightlife spots, stuff going on in the day, public transportation is better. It's a reason why these cacs are kickin nikkaz out of the city.

Also in glasgow we don't have suburbs. Outer city places like Easterhouse are just as bad for poverty and crime as inner city places like govan.

Easterhouse only has 4 gangs compared to govan's 10 but they have a smaller population.

i like the vibe of the hood but i hate the houses. if you show me some decent houses in the hood, maybe ill think about it. i live in the suburbs and it has its good and bad points. just took my daughter to her swimming lesson. if i was in the hood, i couldnt do stuff like this. but i miss certain thigns about the hood. kids playing hide and seek and freeze tag. in the suburbs. everything is organized. you gotta pay to go to the park. you gotta pay for chuck e cheese. for me, i want my house to be suburban living(backyard, basketball court, garage, etc) but i want the vibe and density of the hood. its nice to have privacy but i like just sitting on the porch talking to your neighbors.

Errybody chilling. I like the village vibe over the fenced in suburb feel. That feel of being able to walk to stores and see all ya nikkas out and about.
