Exclusives are a GOOD thing and without it, gaming would be WORSE off.

Would you prefer a game not exist at all instead of it being exclusive?

  • Yes, I rather a game be exclusive and exist than to not exist at all.

  • No, I want games to be everywhere and to stifle creativity *hides Xbox logo on shirt*

  • :mjlol: Sony stans

What you know about buying a system just for one game cuz that shyt look dope af.

I’ve done that shyt soo many times lmaooo.

I had a game boy color only for Pokémon. No other games just Pokémon.

I bought a Dreamcast strictly cuz I thought shadow looked cool in SA2. I traded it in (console and game) a few months later once ps2 showed off devil mar cry

Use to borrow my grandmas N64 to play WCE vs NWO revenge and Mario 64. I had a ps1 but wanted an N64 just for those two
Games.

Bought a 360 just for Gears of War

Bought an Xbox one for Scale Bound and Tomb Raider (back when we thought it was gonna be exclusive)

Bought a (used) switch off the hype of Zelda ( I never played it more than 5 hours or so)

Bought a 3DS off the hype of Pokémon sun and moon (b*stards got me again)

A good exclusive will get me every damn time :francis:

Y'all are naive as fukk if you think gaming is going to turn into some single plane market where everyone will be at their creative best releasing things across all platforms in harmony.

:mjlol:
I mean Sony has committed to bringing their titles to PC so Nintendo is the last one left.

Look past that. Every publisher has a streaming game service. How will they differentiate their service from the next if everything is everywhere?

I personally feel the only exclusives should be from the first party studios. All this other shyt is too much. The furthest it should go is exclusive content if it’s gotta go anywhere. Small timed exclusive is fine too, like under a year. A lot of these companies are doing it to themselves when they take the bag and then run out of salary to get to the next game.

If Sony/M$ wants to give Arc Sys or whoever some money to create a game that wouldn't have been otherwise made, that's cool.

Game companies not named Microsoft see that as a supplemental business model. They'll just make their games available on it for the people willing to pay what they're asking. Other publishers will likely just have their own games on their own services and whatever Microsoft and Sony pay them to add to their services.

PC seems to be harmony between Xbox and Sony exclusives. Also Nintendo Exclusives as well if you choose to go that route.

At this point you don't really need to buy an Xbox as Microsoft considers whatever they make their games for an Xbox so the whole exclusive model is about to be drastically scaled down more than likely. Nintendo will likely keep their own games exclusive but they'll have less incentive to pay other devs/publishers for exclusive games as will Sony because where else are you going to put these games? The Switch 2 isn't gonna be able to handle full blown PS5 games that easily and Xbox just exist for people that want a console with GamePass.
