he had a cedric ceballos and nick van exel team competitive [how they do after he left?]I dunno Ed, If Bron finds a way to win this one.....
You kinda have to place him above Shaq. Shaq never won anything without a prime wing (Kobe and Wade). And he did have a weakness, it just wasn't that bad of a crutch (FT shooting).
I'm still taking Shaq to start a team barely. Only below Cap, Wilt, to me regarding centers.
he spent basically his entire career with one though. Let's not act like 2000 was the result of anyone but him, and 2001 was most definitely him too. Both of those finals he scored around 15-20 MORE points per game while shooting 15-20% higher from the field, in 2001 with the defensive player of the year checking him. We really don't give him the credit we need to.

he drug dennis scott and nick anderson to the nba finals [how they do after he left?]
he led the lakers to 4 straight finals winning three [how the lakers do after shaq left?]

The only arguments are:
Free throws
The disadvantage of needing guards to get you the ball as a big man
Shaq > LeBron
You think Shaq couldn't have torn through this Eastern Conference?

4 times in 5 years. They missed in 2003. Still unreal though. Yeah looking back I think Shaq left a title or two in Orlando. That was a really good team.Ced and Nick weren't HOF player and they didn't make the Finals with them.
Those Orlando teams had talent, let's not BS ourselves. Better talent than Bron has now.
4 Straight Finals with Kobe who did LOTS OF WORK esp in those San Antonio series.

NOBODY is acting like thatnikkaz acting like Kobe was Randy Brown and shyt during the early 00s run need to stop. Tell em @CantStop
and this AINT about kobe brehI don't disagree, that's why I said if Bron wins it somehow. If he does it with no love and a hobbled Kyrie...it's debateable.

Lebron has been stopped before.
Kawhi shut his ass all the way down.
Boris Diaw shut his ass all the way down.
Point me in the direction of a person who could guard prime shaq.
nikka used to back centers down like babies in the post.![]()
at a nikka that won Finals MVP and put up 28 ppg on 60% shooting getting shut down. No need to stop him if he ain't on the floor in the 4th or if you team is still managing to sweep his. Spurs had had prime Shaq shooting 45% and avg. 21 in 02 btw.
