No, it's really not.

The vast majority of the die hard Drake fans on this site are self admitted casual rap fans. For literally any other topic, be it sports, movies, whatever, no one is going to let the casual fans dictate anything. It just doesn't happen. Social media in particular is one of the worst things to happen to rap because it gave casual fans a plat form, and now they think their opinion matters.

Fred.
So who is social media? People. So because a vast majority agrees as a collective, the greater vote wins? At the end of the day it's just EVERYBODY entitled to their OPINION.

No. You sound retarded.

Vanilla Ice went diamond, was he ever taken seriously? His fan base was 10x any other rapper. By your logic his fans should've been dictating everything rap related in 1990....but they weren't, nobody took them seriously.

Do me a favor, go into The Coliseum and say you aren't really a sports fan....try to argue who is the GOAT running back. Go in The Film Room and admit you're only casually interested in movies, and list your top 10. Watch how quickly you get torn apart by actual knowledgeable people. The vast majority alone means jack shyt if they aren't knowledgeable. Rap fans are literally the only group I have to explain this to.

you drake stans don't fool us with the 'i don't even listen to him,but...' threads!!!
why is critizing drake a sin. views sucked like his last 3 albums.
i'll keep 4 songs and the rest is trash bin classic status.

he does not make music that excites me, so fukk him.
plus he makes crappy pop shyt.
oh, and his stans are officially the most annoying motherfukkers outside of youtube eminem stans.

don't know the man well enough to hate him or get angered by him.
that does not mean that i have to like his music,
and me expressing my dislike for his crappy music should not irk some of you motherfukkers to the point you make threads like this.
people get criticized on the coli every day, breh!!
my 2 cents!!
:manny:
stopped reading,

Who still listens to somebody album that released 3 albums in a row they didnt like? :heh:

:jbhmm: yall do know POP MUSIC just means POPULAR MUSIC right? :skip: Gucci mane could be a pop artist if he was getting major spins

Not all popular music is pop music. Let's not pretend to be stupid.:comeon:

Pop music - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Pop music is a genre of popular music that originated in its modern form in the Western world during the 1950s and 1960s, deriving from rock and roll. The terms "popular music" and "pop music" are often used interchangeably, although the former describes all music that is popular (and can include any style).

I like Kid N Play but they were considered pop rappers. Around the same time Ice Cube went plat with no radio play and no hit single. He was popular but he wasn't pop.

Like I said....let's not turn this into another thread were normally somewhat intelligent people go full retard to defend Drake.

:jbhmm: ignore the fact that I said major radio spins gon make any song pop Fred.

That has nothing to do with what we're talking about.

You said pop = popular. It doesn't. The sentence you quoted even made it a point to differentiate between the two.

"Hotline Bling" and "Alright" both got radio spins. Both were popular. Only one is a pop song.

This isn't hard to understand, and it ain't some shyt that started with Drake. If you can't tell the difference artistically between "Views" and "TPAB", you need to get your ears checked. And for the record I don't really like either album.
