Assuming that all 300 million guns were recycled into other things, even if there was a flood of guns from your northern and southern neighbours, it wouldn't be 300 million bad. the number of active guns in rotation would be close to 1 per hundred thousand or million, compared to more than one per citizen.

And steps would be taken to curb these numbers from re-inflating.

Surely the people can choose which amendments they want to amend, and which ones they want to keep unchanged? It's not like one amendment will lead to a floodgate of sudden amendments against the wishes of the people. Unless the US government really are c*nts.

No, it would be foolish to amend the Bill of Rights. Like I said, who is to pick and choose what should be amended? This week it's guns, what's next? Due Process? Freedom of speech? Prohibition against unreasonable searches and seizures? Like I said, I'm not big on guns myself, but it's just a slippery slope

This doesn't have to be an overnight thing. However if you start putting in policies now, to help with gun control it will eventually ween itself out.
Over time it will get better.

Even if they grandfather every legal gun now to its current owner(as it no selling or passing down) it will get better.

Even give dudes tax breaks if they turn in guns (so ppl don't feel like they wasted money)

I don't understand why there isn't one law for the entire country that governs who can have guns and who can carry them.

for instance, the process for being able to buy and carry guns is very thorough and restrictive. but then if you go to AZ, ANYONE can have and carry a gun just with their driver's license. They really don't don't background check you.

simply put, each state shouldn't have their own seperate gun rules. shyt is fukking retarded.

Most criminal law is handled by the states, the federal govt. can only regulate the kind of activity you're talking about through the commerce clause. The answer to your question is that it would likely be unconstitutional

And if you don't say anything that goes against the amendment you can probably win.....in court. But that doesn't mean that you won't waste your time fighting it.

Because everything can be argued at that moment. Running up to a cop face to face and telling him to fukk off is just ignorant but not necessarily illegal. However, if the cop took you running up to him as something else, then you will may have to accept that confrontation, or he may jut laugh you off.

You may argue and win your case in court, but you certainly would have wasted your time and money over something pointless
