I don't understand why there isn't one law for the entire country that governs who can have guns and who can carry them.

for instance, the process for being able to buy and carry guns is very thorough and restrictive. but then if you go to AZ, ANYONE can have and carry a gun just with their driver's license. They really don't don't background check you. :manny:

simply put, each state shouldn't have their own seperate gun rules. shyt is fukking retarded.

You have no idea what you are talking about. All non-private gun purchases require a FBI background check through NICS. This is arequirement for all 50 states.

The problem with debating gun control is there are too many morons that want more laws when they don't even know or understand the laws currently in place.:camby:

Should cops be stripped of their firearms too? Should the military be the only armed group?
The majority of the world has been doing fine. US cops have killed more people this year than many nations combined over decades.

This is the amount of people killed in the history of police force existence by police in the United Kingdom. Most officers in England don't even have guns.

Now put that list next to America's for this year 288 SO FAR

No matter how anyone tries to spin this, the presence of guns fosters a mindset of fear, of pre-emptive action.
I dare anyone to compare statistics concerning deaths by armed police in first word nations in direct proportion of deaths to population, not just numbers.
But naw, fukkin with the amendment is fukking with my freedom.
