Being an introvert doesn't mean you don't appreciate other types of people. I like extrovert people in certain situations, I just can't operate like that 100% of the time.
Im an introvert who can be an extrovert when necessary. Its the perfect balance.
Literally just got home from benihana for my bday and the whole table was shy and to themselves. I jus grabbed my drink and said “toast to all the bdays here, and grateful for the good things and people in our lives”
The whole table completely opened up and the vibe and energy changed. Im extroverted enough to change the energy of a room but not enough to have to feed my ego and have to dominate a situation.

also, i think people are also confusing anxiety with introvert here. if you actually want to hang out but can't, then that sounds like anxiety. my understanding of introvert is that they prefer not to hang out but still can manage. and then "shy" and "reserved" are also different to those.

You got it all wrong. There is nothing bad about spending MOST of your free time alone which is what being a Introvert is essentially. Also Introverts tend to have longer lasting friendships due to how selective they are in choosing friends. Most Extroverts tend to get overly clingy and annoying and most times they usually make an ass out of themselves because they’re so quick to impress everyone.

Your confusing being an introvert with having social anxiety. The two are most times totally separate. You can even be Extrovert and socially anxious.

Either you're socially competent or you're not.
and Stop it no person who proclaims they lose energy when around people and need to recharge after is going to have a large group of friends.
