We'll never get over it, this is apart of our history forever but I've moved on. We got offseason shyt to worry about now, season is over and so is the game :manny:

You say that shyt now, but take it from me.

This shyt gonna haunt you down the road, nothing serious, but you`ll catch yourself thinking about this play or that and it`ll just get ya down.

Every now and again i think about LeMichael James fumble, or the holding call that was never made on Jacoby Jones KR TD

Disgusting :scust:

2 runs and a field goal they burn off more than a minute and are up 11 with less than 2 minutes to go.

Patriots would have needed to go possibly 80 yards for a touchdown, convert a 2 point conversion, get the onside kick AND drive down the field with no timeouts and little to no time left on the clock to kick a field goal just to get to overtime.

But knowing that loser ass franchise they prolly still would have allowed all that to happen. :heh:

What makes you think the field goal would have been good? What makes you think there couldn't have been a turnover on one of those runs? Anything can happen.

You still make the correct decision. Matt Bryant was money inside 50 yards this season and Freeman had only lost one fumble I think. This isn't hindsight, passing was the absolute wrong decision given the factors in the game at the time. Even Blount on then sound fx thought that's what we were going to do.

While I agree that in theory anything can happen, the law of averages dictate that we should've run the ball more and run the play clock down under 5 on each of those plays down the stretch. We didn't run a 4 minute offense, we remained too aggressive looking for the big play when we should've run the ball. Our over aggressiveness lost us the Super Bowl and we're gonna live with that forever

It's not really a fluke fumble if the ball is taken from you. And Brady averages an interception per game in the playoffs. he was under pressure and made the throw into coverage. He did it against the Seahawks in that SB too in the redzone.

As for rarities, it's rare for a team to be as good as the Falcons were on first down and second down and be as awful as they were on third down. It's rare for one team to run twice as many plays as the other. I also read something that how teams in the situation that we were in on the final meaningful possession for us had only lost 4 times, and were the only ones to not even attempt a field goal.

You act as if the Patriots had nothing to do with them being "awful" on 3rd downs. The Pats demonstrated why they were #1 in scoring defense...You can march up and down on the field on 'em but when it comes to crunch time (3rd downs, scoring), they are tough to beat.

Again those two rare Patriots mishaps made this game more lopsided than it should've been. They dominated in damn near every major facet of the game. The better team won in the end. Just deal.

Whats done is done shyt still burns the soul

Still have all the core pieces and opportunities to add more to make another run:manny:
Warriors blew a 3-1 lead, Indians blew a 3-1 lead, Falcons blew a 28-3 lead, another sport team will take our place as a worst loss:manny:

Just like you act like the Falcons had nothing to do with the turnovers. They weren't doing shyt on offense even when they weren't turning the ball over until the defense got gassed in the 4th. At best the teams are about even.
