With the recent joint announcement of Microsoft and CD Projekt stating that you dont have to buy the same game twice has placed Sony development of PS5 version of Last Of Us 2 in jeopardy.
It has been reported that there are whispers of Sony being frustrated with that announcement and Microsoft has forced their hand to possibly delay or not release Last of Us 2 on PS5.
The problem is Sony emulation has driven the cost of PS5 development along with the outrageous cost of the dual shock 5.

And while there are two cards that are marginally more powerful the optimization that happens on consoles will handle what 2.0rdna doesn't

Why is @Barnett114 not allowing threads that talk up the power of the series x? Once it's clear this console is more capable than his PC he gets all agitated.

It won't be a year 1 flop, but it will get ugly as this gen progresses. The only thing keeping Sony afloat is its fanbase and the mental gymnastics of anything "exclusive"
The actual end results vary, and if you take away the titles you don't care for you're left with only a handful of titles. That's not enough moving forward. Moving forward, the cloud plays a huge role in videogame development. Sony isn't even a player in that arena. So how could a Sony gamer compete? Well, Sony decided to try to make a system that is so fast it can do similar things (in theory) that's great the ssd can hold information/etc.
My question to all you good people over at Sonyland is this... doesn't the cloud do everything that the ps5's SSD can do? And if so, then there is no advantage. In fact, I'm certain the cloud is way more capable than the alternative. If anyone needs any links to showcase in detail i got you covered
