The bottom line is You get what you can provide for other people.

People that work at Mcdonalds arent providing much, and can be replaced w/ slightly retarded people.
If the workers at Mcdonalds want to make more money, they should increase their value.
And no, College is not the only way to do that.

What I want to know is how much money are these cats talking about "Mcdonalds should pay $15" donating every year? How much are you giving to the random bum on the street? Im sure you can pass up some of the little luxuries you have in life and donate your hard earned money to plenty of charities...but you dont.
Just because someone may have more money doesnt mean they have to give it away.

The difference between Mcdonalds and In and Out is that Mcdonalds is working on a tighter profit margin. Doubling workers pay would throw their shyt off..and if you think people at the top are going to take that hit youre a fool.

I don't know about 15 an hour. 10 at least but I don't know about more than that. It's retail managers that aint making 15.

15 is like starting for an engineering intern so yeah they're smacked to think they goin get 15/hr to cook some fries

Six Flags is #1 on that list and they are in deep financial trouble.

Huh?

Besides, we're talking about two completely different business models, industries, operations, and overhead, and company histories. Its comparing apples to pizza.

I paid $7 for a value meal at Wendy's just yesterday... imagine them having to pay employees nearly double... that price would go up...

I'm convinced some nikkaz in this thread have never even had a job or never ran a business... :heh:

People who work in Costco make $15 an hour. Managers there make 60k on average. Same as Starbucks Coffee. Problem is, these fast food chains are the standard job in this new, fukked up economy. This isnt the 70s anymore where you can work a factory and make a damn good living. This is the 2010s where good paying jobs are scarce and fast food/ retail bullshyt it workers for its execs that are making record breaking bonuses.

So people are gonna ignore that the top 1% have 32 trillion dollars overseas that they taken away from the US Economy, but complain that fast food workers demand $15 an hour? :heh:

Yall nikkas are not going to be millionaires working for someone else. Not IT, not nursing, not working as an engineer, NOTHING. Stop defending "capitalism" aka fascism and stop defend the 1% that would have locked you up in chains if it was still legal.

The 1% distracts the other 99% from the real issues because everybody thinks they'll be one of the elite one day :russ:

The thing is, is that there is some middle ground inbetween fast food workers and the 1% you're refering to. Why should fast food workers have salaries approaching those of school teachers and other skilled/educated positions who put in work to get there? Any highschool drop out who can barely speak english can work fast food, but why should they be paid similar to a school teacher who put in the time and work to get there? Not to mention the position of a teacher or any skilled job of similar pay is a lot more important than working fast food?

You guys keep talking about how they can't live off of what they're being paid now, but how have they managed to survive thus far? I'm not necessarily defending the 1%, but I don't like the idea of over-rewarding the least important/skilled workers in society. If you wanna pay em $10 then that's fine, but $15? Nah that's too much, shoulda worked harder to get into a more respectable field, or taken your ass to school.:ld:

Those other people are underpaid as well though. Teachers are notoriously underpaid.

People can sprout off all this "they're unskilled, they're lazy" shyt all they want. Point is, there will always be people that will have to work at these types of jobs. That's the point of capitalism. In order you for to have that nice job in the IT department :youngsabo: somebody has to make McFlurries & scrub the bathroom floors. Somebody has to bag groceries, so you can make your pitch books. So blaming someone for being "unskilled" is stupid as there will always be somebody on the lower rung regardless. Hell, even in an perfect economy....4% of people will be unemployed. And that doesn't include people who gave up looking for work. shyt is grimy out here. The least you could do is make it so minimum wage covers minimum expenses. How you going have $1,300 be the going rate for apartments in New York but, have a large swath of the city earning $8 an hour? :deadrose: That shyt is criminal. $15/hr may be pushing it but, $12/hr sounds about right to me. And.......for the record, I think teachers should be paid more too :birdman:

Smart dumb nikkas acting like the poor won't eat one way or another. Either the corporations pay them a liveable wage or we have to subsidize them :aicmon:
