Russ and KD, Embiid, Dubs Cap minutiae, other things
Going into next year, the Warriors have only 5 players who will still be signed, Draymond, Klay, Damien Jones, Kevon Looney, and rookie Patrick McCaw.
Under the prospective new CBA, 5 things look to take place that will limit GS's ability to resign both Durant and Curry.
What this means:
The Warriors are currently sitting at $37.55M with their 5 players and they must sign 10 more to fill out their roster. As previously stated, must have at LEAST 35% of the ~100M open cap to resign Durant.
Curry's cap hold can be weaseled down to $19M putting them around $56M.
If they want to keep Iguodala, his cap hold will be $17M putting them up to $73M, already unable to resign Durant at the $35M max. Livingston's cap hold if they want to keep him will be north of $10M putting them at ~$85M. With only these 8 players already putting the Warriors well into the luxury tax, they will also have to add 7 more players some how to hit the new 15 player minimum.
Consequently, they will either have to get Durant to pick up his option, jettison Iguodala, or be willing to lose Curry or Durant.

Under the prospective new CBA, 5 things look to take place that will limit GS's ability to resign both Durant and Curry.
- The 10 year Vet max threshold could be moved back to 8 years resulting in Curry being eligible for 35% of cap with a max contract
- Because the warriors do not have Durant's bird rights, the Warriors cannot exceed the cap to resign him
- The mandatory number of players under contract will jump to 15
- The rookie wage scale is going to increase due to cap jump
- Minimum salaries are going up to $800-900K
