Heaven and Hell. To me, that's the heart of Cuban Linx (the struggle) summed up in one song.

The one-two punch of Heaven and Hell into North Star is probably the best album closer I've ever heard

For real, this is the ONLY Wu album I knew dudes to be bumping in the dirt road cotton field " I hit a deer in the box chevy on the way from the club" area of Mississippi delta that I grew up in.

Seriously. I really do remember a time where folks were thinking stuff like Redman, Nas, Outkast and Wu was "white folks music".

This album dropped, nikkas was talking bout "dat purple tape with that dude riding on that iron horse". They couldn't understand a word of it, it STILL got played heavy!


Anyway, first thought is Ice Water + Shark nikkas.

I've always told nikkas that Spot Rusherz is one of the best songs on Cuban Linx, hands down. Everything about it. The beat is almost one of the weakest on Cuban Linx but RZA does that 'double snare' or whatever the fukk at the end of the loop which takes it to another level.

Never had this album back in the day since I was in the Caribbean and it wasn't in record stores and the Wu wasn't trending down here like in America so I only knew about Ice Cream from Rap City...but the first time I heard the album in it's entierty and heard Ice water.....

shyt sounded like something Iron Mike would walk out to with nothing but Bad Intentions on his mental, steppin' to the instrumental.
