• Community college for 2 years
  • Can often get your prerequisites out of the way before going to a four year free of charge with grants.
  • Debt amount 0-2K
• Transfer to 4 year public university for last 2 years
  • This is where you take your major classes and get your degree
  • If focused you can complete this in eactly 2 years.
  • Debt amount 8K - 20K

If done correctly, many people can graduate with 20K of debt or even less. That is very manageable.

The big problem is people going to a four year university right out of high school, not knowing what they want to do. Staying on campus racking up thousand of dollars in debt.

That's how people end up with 40, 50, and 60K worth of debt.

…buuuut:

1. Fucc debt. When you finish school, you still have to pay it. A lot of these boys don’t want to deal with it and I’m not even mad at them.

2. The Big Problem about what you yourself call The Big Problem in bold is (as some of you have brought out) this whole conversation is
only a thing because the girls at college who are doing just that want more boys around to do that with. It isn’t that they give a
damn about raising the level of boys’ education, or to help The Community, or whoompty whoomp wham.

When they finish school
(if they finish school - because a good chunk of the Black girls seem to want to be in some kind of school forever, but that’s another thread),
these ladies are the ones talmbat they want a partner “on their level”. That seems to mean not only is their partner a college graduate, but he
knows/was familiar with the Campus Life the bold relates to. She wants to be able to bring him around her friends, and when they talk about
college and Dorm Life, Greek Parties, and such he can fit in and relate to those experiences. And now that less boys are doing that, these ladies
can’t settle with a man “beneath“ them. You get penalized for not doing it that way somewhat.

Oh well.

He’s right.. the quote was about black men in HBCUs… not black men in college.

I stay in and out of college now. My nephew is the youngest black male we have in college in my immediate family, and it is not an HBCU. He is going to a community college first, then chasing his gf to a HBCU that she wanted to attend first (no scholarship ).


But yeah, basically this is another lie for everyone to gang up on bm about to feel better about themselves and their life choices.


I would recommend any young black man to a trade school anyway here in the states.
