Let it collapse, creating kids just to be used as fuel for the system is the wrong reason to procreate.
Id like to see what the eventual conclusion would be . I'd love to leave an industrialized country alone just as a test case.

Rather than dwindling to nothingness, I'm curious whether the population will eventually stabilize as the economy seeks equilibrium. There is a direct correlation between economic success and smaller birthrates so I propose that as the financial status of the nation returns to it's original status, birthrates will rebound.

For example, if stagnation brings down the economy; it may reach a point where birth rates eventually rise again on their own as education levels and excess cash plummet.

In biological and ecological systems , you see a similar Laissez-faire approach to population control. For example, a predator disappears and a population of rabbits grows faster than their food source. If left to their own devices, the overabundance of rabbits will eventually run out of food and drop back to sustainable levels relative to their food source. I don't think humans are immune to this, but I think it's that we're fighting this natural process.

I can already imagine someone creating an anime about a guy trying to take advantage of this and make as many babies as possible :russ:
Them kids will be in the river and the ground not in school. :skip:

Brehs keep missing the point. One of the most homogenous countries in the world. If all they wanted was bodies they would encourage immigration and nationalization

I hate when people default to the money issue . It sounds right but it's not backed by evidence. The more money I give you , the less likely you are to actually have kids .

Keep in mind their birthrate was already trash in their golden age in the 80s, and early 90s BEFORE WAGE STAGNATION. They haven't had a replacement birthrate since they were broke in the 60s and early 70s.There is a direct correlation between their country getting more money , and their birthrates falling off a cliff .

Beyond Japan, I always raise the peculiar case of the Scandinavian countries. All of these countries gave the world a real life test case for what happens when you spend more money on people and make it easier for them economically to have children. Do you know what the results of this social projects were? Failure. Those Scandinavian countries are spending the most on each of their citizens than any other country on earth. They have more social benefits, more child care benefits, more family leave, lower work hours, etc than every other Nation on Earth but despite pumping more and more money at the problem their birth rates are still dropping. Keep in mind they have already instituted all the reforms you could possibly suggest.

Money is not the solution. Making people's lives comfortable is not the solution either. Because people with lots of money who are comfortable do not prioritize childbirth.

It's an ideological issue, not a financial one. People just do not prioritize children when they are wealthy. You have a better return on investment by importing poor people who still value children based on their prior environment.
